Appearance: Triska is a true Plainswoman of the Storval Plateau, tall and solid (6’2”, 190 lbs), green-eyed, with skin tanned from long hours in the sun. She shaves her head in traditional Shoanti fashion, except for a single long red braid growing from the base of her skull, and her face and scalp are marked with colorful tribal tattoos.
Triska dresses in hides and furs, and wears a hide shirt made of bright blue giant gecko scales. A bow and arrows are slung on her back, while a scimitar and klar (a horned spirestalker skull with a wickedly-protruding blade) hang from her belt.
Triska is first and foremost a hunter, a woman of the plains, but she is also an innocent to the ways of civilization. As a woman, and an outsider to “civilization,” she always looks for ways to prove herself. Privately, she wants to improve her skill at archery, and has embarked on a somewhat spiritual quest to “make the perfect shot.”
Triska tends to be quiet, often remaining silent unless her opinion is specifically asked. She tries to be a good person, but her strong sense of individuality often puts her at odds with those in power or command. Independent almost to the point of stubbornness, Triska will not be told what to do or how to do it. Nevertheless, she is a staunch ally to those she has befriended.
Triska strives to stay in control of her life and her fate, and also in control of herself, physically and emotionally. Triska’s family has a long tradition of berserk warriors, but Triska herself fears the loss of control that her barbarian rage brings. She sometimes worries that her imposing size and barbarian heritage frighten people and make her seem unfriendly, so she overcompensates for this by trying too hard to appear friendly and likeable.
