Revelations

Bonded Mount:
(Su): You gain the service of an unusually intelligent, strong, and loyal mount. The creature must be one that you are capable of riding and is suitable as a mount. A Medium oracle can select a camel or a horse. A Small oracle can select a pony or wolf, but can also select a boar or a dog if she is at least 4th level. This mount functions as a druid’s animal companion, using your oracle level as your effective druid level. Bonded mounts have an Intelligence score of at least 6.

Friend to the Animals:
(Ex): Add all summon nature’s ally spells to your spell list. You must still select these spells using your allotment of spells known. Animals within 30 feet of you receive a bonus on all saving throws equal to your Charisma modifier.

Nature’s Whispers:
(Ex): You have become so attuned to the whispers of the natural world, from the croaking of frogs to the groaning of great boulders, that your surroundings constantly keep you preternaturally aware of danger. You may add your Charisma modifier, instead of your Dexterity modifier, to your Armor Class and CMD. Any condition that would cause you to lose your Dexterity modifier to your Armor Class instead causes you to lose your Charisma modifier to your Armor Class.

Backstory:
Tooantuh was born into the Shundar-Quah to a single mother. However the clans devotion to unity of their people kept Tooantuh from being an outsider among his people. There was much about Tooantuh that made him different from his tribe as he grew, the dark hair and red skin hie people were known for both seemed to bleach as he aged until he was pale as snow and hair to match. Further more in moments of passion his eyes would glow gold. Tooantuh always suspected this was linked to his unknown father but he would not learn the truth until later in life. Besides these oddities Tooantuh was a model member of his clan, a natural leader and inspiring speaker who was also skilled at riding and combat. It wasn't until it came time for Tooantuh undergo the coming of age rite that the full extent of his differences came to bear. During a combat demonstration as part of the rite his eyes glowed gold as always during moments of passion, however this time his eyes were accompanied by a booming voice in a language that only a few Elders and Warlords understood. Furthermore he summoned forth magic to bolster himself and made easy work of his partner in ritual combat.

It was clear to the shamans what had happened, they realized Tooantuh had been chosen by the spirits to be an Oracle. This although rare is not unheard of among the Shoanti and thus Tooantuh was granted his name and tattoo. His name would be Sky Voice, the meaning he was told is that he was chosen by the spirits of nature like the Skyfather, further more the tongues he seemed to speak while in combat was actually the language of Giants who themselves dwell in the clouds. His tattoo would be the Mountain Spire, the very symbol of his Quah. After a year more of general training among his people to gain a basic handle of his gifts, it was decided by the Elders and the Shamans that Sky Voice would be sent on a journey to find a fabled mentor to help him along his path. He was told this mentor had been known to his kind for many generations but the span between when people were sent to seek them was far between and they faded into legend between such time and that he should seek his brothers in the Moon and Sun Quah's who may have more information. The clan held a celebration to honor his journey and say their goodbyes hoping that his path would one day lead him back home was his Quah was one of community. They gifted him with supplies for travel and totems for protection but the biggest gift was that of a trained horse from among the clans herd(Trait:Shoanti Steed). That night his mother told Tooantuh the story of his father, a man from the lowland city of Magnimar, he was a diplomat who visited the Quah for exchgange of culture and trade. But he caught his mothers eye with his otherworldly looks, fair skin, white hair and glowing eyes, she would later learn that these were features of the Aasimar, people decended from the spirits as she understood it which were slightly more common among the people of Magnimar. With this knowledge Tooantuh was able to unlock a gift of his blood, before his mothers eyes his hair and skin darkened and his eyes for a moment glowed before becoming the same green color as hers(Alter-self racial spell like abilily Aasimar).

The next day Sky Voice set out on his journey. He spent many weeks on the open plains of the Storval plateau. He made his way to the lands of the Moon-Quah to learn about the fable mentor. After a week speaking to the elders of the Quah to gain information and blessings. They told what they knew that the mentor was a strange solitary figure who took residence in the mountains but they knew not which range and that the elders of the Sun-Quah would know more. Onward his journy took him to the next Quah. The people of the sun Quah knew a few important details to help him on his way. The fabled mentor did not have a name per say just a word that they were given that their people could speak to them. Upon learning this word Sky Voice knew its meaning from his bouts of Tongues, it was the giant word for friend. The second thing they knew is that this 'friend' dwelled among high parts of the nearby Mindspin mountains.

Again with blessings from more elders and shamans Sky Voice set off on the next part of his journey. Used to open plains Sky Voice made the hard start of travel up winding mountain paths and dangerous cliffs. Sometimes having to leave his horse behind while he climbed to higher ground to find new trails. It took many months winding up and down different peaks and along hidden paths. Finally he came upon a well hidden path shadowed by many cliffs that led into a badlands valley. In the valley was a cave with a faint trickle of smoke coming from within. Outside carved in the rock was the symbol for 'friend'. Sky Voice entered the cave and found a massive being upon a cot. It was breathing heavily and looked malnourished. Sky Voice set to work using his gifts to heal flesh wounds from bed sores and set a circle of totems around the creature. He gathered local herbs and used some dried meats to make a stock to both hydrate and nourish the creature.

After a week of fitful sleep the creatures eyes opened. Sky voice met it's glance and spoke a single word in the giant tongue 'friend'. The creature responded with a knowing smile and after a small fit of coughs spoke back 'friend'. After a few more days of care the creature who's name was something akin to 'Mother of the land' was able to sit up and east some solid foods that Sky Voice hunted from the badlands. 'Mother' told Sky Voice about herself and how she came to be known as a legend among his peoples. 'Mother' was a cliff giant, a solitary group of giants who were helpful to the small folk when they crossed and who only come together with their own kind to mate. Unfortunately 'Mother' could not bear children of her own and became somewhat of a hermit, however like all her peoples she had a great reverence for nature and was gifted with powers to help in her task of protecting the land. Over the long years of her life 'Mother' took in small folk who were called to the cause and helped them learn the ways of nature. She called these small folk her 'Little sons and daughters'. 'Mother' told Sky Voice that he too would be her son and she would aide him on his path wherever it may lead him. 'Mother' informed him however that she was reaching the end of her natural life and that he would be her last 'son' and had he not arrived illness would have likely been her end, but she heard the spirits tell her that she had one last task before she may rest.

So it was for the next three years that 'Mother' trained Sky Voice in the ways of nature and the spirits. Sky became a necessary career to 'Mother' but the skills in control of his gifts that she taught him were well worth the work and besides they were things he was taught and expected to do as a member of the Shundar-Quah. One day while 'Mother' taught Sky about the delicate balance of fauna they observed a rare an brutal site. Multiple dens of mountain lions grouped up to fight a local Megafauna family. These beasts looked like what Sky Voice knew was Mammoths or elephants. 'Mother' told him they were different, much more angry and solitary than those beasts. Sky wanted to help as he though it was not a fair fight between the creatures. 'Mother' however intervened, this was the way of nature no matter how brutal or unfair it may seemed these creatures are doing what they know and he should not strive to change nature but protect and uphold its laws and help protect the line between the two worlds that were the world of nature and the world of peoples. Normally a fight that the mammoth like creatures would win they were losing because the group of mountain lions was large and the mammoths were trying to defend a calf. The lions won the day and feasted upon the huge beasts before moving on and leaving the rest for the carrion. When the lions were gone Sky Voice moved in. 'Mother' asked what he was doing. He turned and simply said help me a moment. Sky went over to the corpse of the mother beast and began to try and move its considerable mass. 'Mother' mustered what she could of her strength in her old age and helped Sky Voice to move the corpse of the mother beast aside. In the struggle the mother beast layed upon her calf to shield it. Being covered for many hours the calf was barely breathing and covered in many cuts and bites. Sky Voice set to work using his gifts to heal what wounds he could and began the healing process on this beast like he did with 'Mother' a few short years ago. 'Mother' picked up the creature and along with Sky they returned to their cave cliff. They both worked tirelessly to try and heal the creature but it seemed its internal injuries were beyond their magics. 'Mother' not wanting to give up hope for Sky's sake, and Sky not wanting to give up because of his youth and hope gathered totems and idols to perform rituals so ask for the spirits of natures aide. After many days in desperate prayer when it seemed like the last ebbs of life were flowing from the beast its eyes opened. The beasts met with Sky Voice's and he uttered 'friend' in the giant tongue and the beast was overcome with magics from all around, Sky Voice too felt the effects, the beasts skin turned pale and its eyes glowed gold just like his(Celestial Servant 1st level feat). When the magic faded Sky and the beast were locked in a stare it was clear that they were bonded. 'Mother' spoke, "The beast is your charge and your kin. You must protect and serve it as it must you and together you will serve nature and your people.". 'Mother' told Sky Voice that this place would not serve as a home easily for the beast and that time was coming for him to return to his people. Mother, the beast, Sky and his clan horse set off down the mountains back to the land of people. As they progressed it was clear to Sky the 'Mothers' health was fading. When he tried to make them stop for rest and care she pushed him aside and told them to continue.

After many days of hard hiking through the mountains they reached the border hills that split the land of the mountains and plains. That night during camp 'Mother' shared stories of her past 'Sons and Daughters'. When she was out of stories 'mother' asked to sleep. Sky Looked at her with concern, however she answered him in the tongue of his people with an old saying "May your spirit guide you" and finished it with 'friend' in her own tongue. 'Mother' drifted into sleep. Sky Voice watched her all night as her breath became more and more shallow and eventually faded. In the morning he and his beasts labored and built a stone cairn to entomb her. He marked the final stone with both of her names and with the Sign of his Quah to honor her for what she had done for him. Sky Voice spent the rest of the day in mourning. The next day he said his final farewells to 'Mother'. He quickly returned to his Quah after years of absence. Although it took a moment for them to recognize this now nearly fully grown man, there was much celebration at the return of their child. Sky settled into his life in the Quah again but felt a slight unease that his journey was far from over. He would always take jobs hunting or ranging to get out into nature proper where he felt more at home.

After several months Sky Voice heard from the elders that a Shaman would be needed for a task the other Quah's refused to do but the Shundar-Quah though was very important. A small town some journey away in the Hold of Belzken was home to some Shoanti who had been exiled from their Quah's and some of them had children who would be coming of age. The other Quah's would have these children suffer for the sins of their parents but the Shundar-Quah beloved in Unity of the Quah's and would offer these young cousins the opportunity to take their rites of passage and receive their tattoos. Sky Voice saw this as a new path for his journey and volunteered to take this task. He was given old leather scrolls with a large repository of the Shoanti peoples tattoos and their meaning and his own kit of tools to apply them. As a test of his skill he tattooed his beast brother with the Klaritil(Blood Klar) to signify their bond.

With his task and destination set Sky Voice set out for the town of Trunau. What comes next remains to be known.
