![]() Well I'm all sort of excited now! I went to this when it was DDXP a couple years ago and was really impressed. Now that I've gone over to Pathfinder and knowing that PFS will be there I'm planning on being there all 4 days. Oh and the fact that its only an hour and a half away on US30 is even better! :-) ![]()
![]() I actually was the DM of our group in high school back when there was no "edition" of D&D and GMed a few Pathfinder modules a few years ago, so I'd love to help GM once I kick the rust off and get a lot more familiar with the Pathfinder rule set. I know the basics I just haven't had much of an opportunity to put it all into practice by playing in any sort of constant fashion. ![]()
![]() I am trying to work my schedule around this, however I have my son on the weekends that the games are scheduled so it's been a no go the past few sessions. I guess the question is would there be room if I was able to make it on the 3rd? Plus the fact that I've only played two Pathfinder sessions and that was almost two years ago so I'm very rusty. ![]()

That's what I imagine is the case, although not specifically stated. This is what I was thinking also, but being new I just want to make sure that I'm understanding everything and that I'm not missing something obvious. ![]()
![]() I've been going through the posts and I might have missed it, but I do have a question, and forgive me as I'm still very new to Pathfinder. In the guide toward the end under the Dervish build Level 1 I see that Weapon Finesse is the feat chosen. It also states that a Scimitar is being used but that "His basic attack is a +4 for 1d6+0". Where does the +4 come from? Weapon Finesse allows the Dex modifier to be used for light or natural weapons, however, the scimitar isn't a light weapon so what am I missing? ![]()

Exactly what I was going to say! Oh the good old days... when AC was the lower the better and initiative was rolled on a d6! :-) ![]()
![]() I know it's way early to talk about this one, but I'm trying to decide between a couple conventions early next year and I'd like to know what the convention is like, especially in terms of playing Pathfinder Society. I usually go to the D&D Experience convention in late January but as I'm getting more into Pathfinder I'm considering just skipping the Experience and going to Gamicon to play PFS. Convince me it's worth the drive from northern Indiana! ![]()
![]() I played a lot of D&D in high school starting in 1981 with basic D&D and then moving to AD&D for a number of years. I quit around 1987 and just last year got bit by the bug again and bought a bunch of 4e books. I learned the system but I could tell it was way different from what I remembered from school. I play and enjoy 4e, but when I picked up Pathfinder and read the Core Rulebook I remember thinking, now THIS is more of the D&D that I remember. I still play a 4e game every other week, but Pathfinder is what I'm investing the rest of my gaming time and resources on. ![]()
![]() I just want to apologize, I've been meaning to make it to the PFS games but my schedule has been crazy. I haven't given up though, and I'm still looking for a group playing a Pathfinder campaign or perhaps an AP. Nebelwerfer41 are you looking for any new players, or know of anyone in South Bend that is? I'm really wanting to hook up with a local group. ![]()
![]() I guess it would depend on whether we're talking about doing a weekly game or not. I do a D&D game every other Sunday night at Fantasy Games, so Sunday would be bad for me. Wednesday night is also bad, but I can probably work with any other evenings. I'd love to eventually GM but I'm really very new to Pathfinder so I'd like a while to get to know the system better. I can't think of anyplace off the top of my head to meet and play though unless The Griffon or Fantasy Games has a spot open. |
