newbie here wanting to get some play in .... learned before and played a pre gen game at gencon ... no character yet ... would there be a place for me or is this an advanced player only thing

Sczarni 4/5

Hey! You are absolutely welcome to join in if you would like. The tables we run at the Griffon are open to anyone regardless of previous experience with PFS. There are plenty of people who would be happy to answer any questions you may have about Pathfinder/PFS in general as well.

And speaking of PFS, it's time to wrangle the schedule for the next session!

Saturday, August 23rd @ 10AM EDT at the Griffon Bookstore:

High Table: The Harrowing (Continuation from previous session, Tier 8-10)
GM: William W.

Mid Table: Decline of Glory (Tier 1-7)
GM: Volunteer Needed!

Low Table: Frostfur Captives (Tier 1-5)
GM: Volunteer Needed!

Please let me know if there are any questions or if you want to give running a game a try! Thanks!

3/5

I'll run Frostfur Captives.

I can try running the Decline of Glory if you still need someone to run.

i definitely would like to play and see what comes ... would me not having a character be a problem though ?

3/5

There will be pre-generated characters provided if you don't have one, IronKanon. The only thing you'll need is a PFS number, if you don't have one already.

I have extra numbers that I can provide if you need one.

Sczarni 4/5

Hello again! Sorry about the late posting for this weekend's schedule, I was away on vacation shenanigans. I have not yet heard from William regarding his availability to finish out the Harrowing Module for this weekend, so I will prep a scenario as back-up just in case.

Saturday, September 6th @ 10AM EDT at the Griffon Bookstore:

Low Table: The Cyphermage Dilemma (Tier 1-5)
GM: Need a volunteer!

Mid Table: The Sanos Abduction (Tier 3-7)
GM: Need a volunteer!

High Table: The Harrowing (Tier 8-10)
GM: William

OR

Back-up Table: The Emerald Spire: The Tower Ruins (Tier 1-2)
GM: Sean O.

Hope to see you there!

Sczarni 4/5

I have the Cyphermage Dilemma covered, just need one more GM for Sanos Abduction!

Sczarni 4/5

Hello everyone! Our Venture Lieutenant over in Portage has made a new thread for us to post in for Northern Indiana, located here:

Northern Indiana PFS

I will be posting future schedules on that thread, as well as the schedules for Lightspeed Hobbies. Feel free to check it out!

3/5

You may want to consider continuing to post on this thread, as people from South Bend and surrounding areas will be more likely to search for 'South Bend' than 'Northern Indiana.' If the South Bend thread hasn't been updated in awhile, they may assume PFS is no longer occurring in the area.

I can understand wanting to combine the two overlapping areas in one, simpler thread, but I don't believe it will serve to direct new people to the South Bend game as effectively as this current thread does now.

Grand Lodge 2/5

I am not seeing an obvious thread, so I'll ask here...

Is there any PFS action being planned for Game Con South Bend October 18?

Sczarni 4/5

Yes, actually! I was planning on submitting to reserve tables for PFS at Game Con, but I was waiting to set up a Warhorn page first (currently in progress). They have 3 time slots (9-1PM, 1:30-5:30PM, and 6-10PM) that could accommodate PFS scenarios. I wasn't sure of interest, but I was estimating maybe 3 tables per time slot?

Grand Lodge 2/5

A few friends were thinking about driving up from Indy and I was thinking I might run a table of Slave Ships of Absalom but I wasn't sure if there was going to be much PFS action, etc.

We also have the Fort Wayne facebook and warhorn set up as "Northern Indiana" ...

ALL THE WEBSITES!!?!? (J/K, I'll peruse them later this weekend...)

In regards the the Game Con, I am now formally putting out a call-out to all prospective GM's out there! Based on what I am seeing from the website, if you GM for at least 1 4-hour slot, you will get into the Con for free (I believe it is normally $10 for the day). If there are any requests for any particular scenario as well, let me know! I will post a tentative schedule on the following Warhorn: https://warhorn.net/events/gamecon-2014-pfs

So far (if Mark still wants to GM) if have Slave Pits of Absalom on deck. I was thinking some of the later Season 5 scenarios, perhaps?

Sczarni 4/5

Here is what I am thinking for potential scenario schedule for Game Con:

Slot 1 (9:00 AM-1PM):

#06-01: Trial by Machine (Tier 1-5)

#5-14: Day of the Demon (Tier 3-7)

#05-10: Where Mammoths Dare Not Tread (Tier 7-11)

Back-up Table: First Steps Part 1 (Tier 1)

Slot 2 (1:30-5:30PM):

#06-05: Slave SHIPS of Absalom (Tier 1-5)

#5-13: Weapon in the Rift (Tier 5-9)

#05-17: Fate of the Fiend (Tier 7-11)

Back-up Table: The Confirmation (Tier 1-2)

Slot 3 (6-10PM):

#05-22: Scars of the Third Crusade (Tier 1-5)

#05-99: The Paths We Choose (Tier 3-7)

#05-20: The Sealed Gate (Tier 7-11)

Back-up Table: The Glass River Rescue (Tier 1-5)

Any thoughts/ideas/suggestions? Too many tables? Too little?

Sczarni 4/5

Also, proposed schedule for the Griffon this weekend:

Saturday, September 21st @ 10AM EDT at the Griffon Bookstore:

The Emerald Spire: Tower Ruins (Tier 1-2)
GM: Irish202

Voice in the Void (Tier 1-7)
GM: Volunteer Needed!

The Golemworks Incident (Tier 5-9)
GM: Volunteer Needed!

I will be out of town for most of this week, so I will not be very on top of poking the local GM's to run tables. Assistance is appreciated!

3/5

I'll run Voice in the Void.

My level 5-9 is locked into a module, and I've played the voice in the void, so I call dibs on a spot for the Emerald Spire.

5/5 ** Venture-Agent, Indiana—South Bend

I will run 5-14 - Day of the Demon for GameCon.

Grand Lodge 2/5

I will run the #05-10: Where Mammoths Dare Not Tread (Tier 7-11)

Silver Crusade

I would be interested in running one or all of the following:

#06-01: Trial by Machine (Tier 1-5)
#5-13: Weapon in the Rift (Tier 5-9)
#05-22: Scars of the Third Crusade (Tier 1-5)

If you need me to DM 2 of them or 3 I can.
Also just thinking you might want to get a 4th table for the second slot since that is when most people will probably be there. Just a thought.

Saturday, October 4th @ 10AM EDT at the Griffon Bookstore:

GM: Justin

Backup Table (4-19) The Night March of Kalkamedes (Tier 1-5)

Sczarni 4/5

Hello all! The game day over in the Century Center is fast approaching, and I am still in need for GM's. Here is the schedule I have so far:

Game Con South Bend, Century Center on October 18th:

Slot 1 (9:00 AM-1PM):

#06-01: Trial by Machine (Tier 1-5)

#5-14: Day of the Demon (Tier 3-7)

Back-up Table: Merchant's Wake (Tier 1-5)

Slot 2 (1:30-5:30PM):

#06-05: Slave SHIPS of Absalom (Tier 1-5)

#5-13: Weapon in the Rift (Tier 5-9)

#05-17: Fate of the Fiend (Tier 7-11)

Back-up Table: First Steps Part 1 (Tier 1-2)

Slot 3 (6-10PM):

#05-22: Scars of the Third Crusade (Tier 1-5)

#05-99: The Paths We Choose (Tier 3-7)

#05-20: The Sealed Gate (Tier 7-11)

Back-up Table: The Confirmation (Tier 1-2)

The bolded ones are tables I still need GM's for. I can fill in tables as necessary, but I'll need some help for the afternoon and evening slots! Also, a reminder for those planning to play that day. You will have to sign-up for table spots on the Game Con website in order to reserve a seat, so be sure to do so if you are attending! Let me know if there are any questions!

In case anyone wants a shortcut ... here's the link to the game signups for the convention. You have to make an account with them. They ask for your address and junk, but you can just put gibberish in and it'll take it (since it's not a "secure" https site).

http://gameconsouthbend.com/attend/index.php/play_games/sign_up

If you want to be totally awesome and GM things 'n stuff you should totally tell Sean so he knows he has (even more) helpers. ^.^ You get in free for GMing! Who knows ... we might even bribe people with brownies or cookies.

Silver Crusade

Just wondering if I am DMing all 3 tables? Didn't see if you poster what DM's are where. If that's still private it's fine.

Sczarni 4/5

Ryan, I am taking you up on your offer to run all three tables. Still need moar GM's!

Sczarni 4/5

Schedule and GM's finalized! (Well...at least to the point where I can stop panicking).

Game Con South Bend, Century Center on October 18th:

Slot 1 (9:00 AM-1PM):

#06-01: Trial by Machine: Ryan Auker

#5-14: Day of the Demon: Bill Swathwood

#05-10: Where Mammoths Dare Not Tread: OBAD/Jim Auker?

Back-up Table: Merchant's Wake: Wil Burns

Slot 2 (1:30-5:30PM):

#06-05: Slave SHIPS of Absalom: Sean O'Shea

#5-13: Weapon in the Rift: Ryan Auker

#05-17: Fate of the Fiend: Brian Mooney

Back-up Table: First Steps Part 1 (Tier 1-2)

Slot 3 (6-10PM):

#05-22: Scars of the Third Crusade: Ryan Auker

#05-99: The Paths We Choose: Sean O'Shea

#05-20: The Sealed Gate: Brian Mooney

Back-up Table: The Confirmation: Danielle Atkins

I will have posters and some Paizo stuff to give away throughout the day, so sign-up for a table while you can!

Sczarni 4/5

Hope everyone who went to GameCon enjoyed the PFS experience (and other events as well)! Here is the schedule on deck for the Griffon for the beginning of November:

Saturday, November 1st @ 10AM EDT at the Griffon Bookstore:

The Emerald Spire: The Cellars (Tier 1-3)
GM: Irish202

The Night March of Kalkamedes (Tier 1-5)
GM: Jordan (I'm taking you up on your offer, thanks!)

Wonders in the Weave: The Dog Pharaoh's Tomb (Tier 5-9)
GM: Volunteer Needed!

Sczarni 4/5

Hey everyone! Still need a GM for Wonders in the Weave. Additionally, if someone is willing to run BUT would prefer to run something else, let me know! I'm flexible when it comes to the schedule. Thanks!

Hey all. I am getting started back up in the Pathfinder Society. I was at GameCon and had a blast! I will have my level 5 Human Barbarian ready to hack and cleave!

3/5

For the Griffon PFS sessions on November 15th, would it be possible for one of the scenario options to be a repeatable Tier 1-2 scenario? I would like to playtest one of the new Occult Adventures classes, but I need to get a scenario in before the 25th when the playtest ends.

Sczarni 4/5

I will be attending PentaCon over in Ft. Wayne this coming weekend to assist our Venture Captain with running PFS, so I will be unavailable to help out with GM'ing shenanigans for this coming Saturday. I do propose the following schedule, though GM's certainly will be needed. I am over-estimating tables, just in case:

Saturday, November 15th @ 10:00AM EST at The Griffon Bookstore:

Low Table: The Confirmation (Tier 1-2)
GM: Volunteer Needed!

Mid Table: Echoes of the Overwatched (Tier 1-5)
GM: Volunteer Needed!

High Table: Wonders in the Weave Part 2 (Tier 5-9)
GM: Volunteer Needed!

Sczarni 4/5

Just a heads up to everyone, I only have one GM scheduled for tomorrow (Jordan is running the Confirmation) so far! If someone wouldn't mind stepping up to GM another table tomorrow if it is needed, that would be appreciated. Thanks!

Sczarni 4/5

Sorry about the late notice, had to work two 12-hour shifts this week to spend time with family for Thanksgiving. We are still having PFS this weekend at the Griffon for those in town for the holiday weekend! I am not sure what the turn out is going to be, so back-up GM's are appreciated!

Saturday, November 29th @ 10AM at The Griffon Bookstore:

Table 1: The Emerald Spire Megadungeon, The Splinterden (Tier 2-4)
GM: Irish202

Table 2: Assault on The Kingdom of the Impossible (Tier 1-5)
GM: Jordan

Scarab Sages 1/5

I'll be there.

Liberty's Edge

I'm glad to see that PFS at the Griffon is still going strong! One of these Saturdays I am going to have to try to stop in and play. I haven't been there in a couple years. Time flies I'm afraid....

Sczarni 4/5

Yeah, I think we had a record of almost 30 players this weekend by someone's count. Crazy!

Sczarni 4/5

Hello all! Looking to wrangle the schedule for PFS at the Griffon this coming weekend. I am not sure if the trend of our turn out will continue for this weekend, but I would like to be prepared just in case. Hence, I propose the following schedule:

Saturday, December 13th @ 10:00AM at the Griffon Bookstore:

Table 1: The Emerald Spire Megadungeon, Godhome (Tier 3-5)
GM: Irish202

Table 2: The Temple of Empyreal Enlightenment (Tier 1-5)
GM: Volunteer Needed!

Table 3: Shadow's Last Stand Part 1, At Shadow's Door (Tier 1-7)
GM: Volunteer Needed!

Back-up Table: The Confirmation (Tier 1-2 Replayable)
GM: Volunteer Needed!

I don't expect all of the tables to go off, though I would appreciate having someone available to have things ready to run the Confirmation in the event a lot of new individuals show up. Let me know if there are questions!

Sczarni 4/5

Attention GM's! I need two more GM's for this weekend to cover Shadow's Last Stand Part 1 and the Confirmation. I don't want to turn people away on Saturday, so volunteers are appreciated!

Sczarni 4/5

Hello all! We are still having PFS this coming weekend at the Griffon for those still in town for the holiday weekend. Here is the tentative schedule:

Saturday, December 27th @ 10:00AM at the Griffon Bookstore:

Table 1: The Emerald Spire, The Drowned Level (Tier 3-5)
GM: Irish202

Table 2: Valley of the Veiled Flames (Tier 5-9)
GM: Ryan A.

Back-up Table: The Confirmation (Tier 1-2)
GM: Bill S.

Let me know if there are any questions. Hope everyone is enjoying your holidays with your family and friends!

Sczarni 4/5

For those of you who happen to have New Year's Day off (and/or are available that day), would there be interest in some PFS? I was thinking of running a module, or perhaps a particular scenario, if there are any requests. Time and location are negotiable as well. Thoughts?

I would definitely be up for it, don't have a huge preference as to module or scenario.
