About Tokae Yashkiin

Tokae Yashkiin was a rising star in the Red Poles- a gang known for their opulence and the authorities reluctance to investigate their many alleged crimes. This last was thanks to men like Tokae Yashkiin, who was a frightener- a professional kidnapper, ransomer, and when the situation called for it, torturer and assassin. Despite the harsh adjectives, Tokae prided himself on being a professional in a field filled with amateurs. He is incredibly inventive and descriptive about what will/will not happen to someone if they do not/do pay for the safe return of a loved one. He has no patience for intimidation techniques and is in fact quite honest- sociopathically so. He has has made good on his promises each and every time. To him, it is a business- he is actually quite peaceful if left to his own devices, studying infernal philosophy and debating religion. This detachment is perhaps his sole saving grace- he isn't a murderer or thrillkiller, he's a businessman. You want your kid back? Pay up, perhaps in installments(he never asks for something he knows for sure someone can afford and is quite flexible about how people pay him and in what currency- sometimes gold, other times favors). If not, then he will return them considerably worse for wear.

Tokae is convinced that someone in his gang double crossed him- he set up a frightener that just plain did not work and he was in the midst of seriously injuring his mark as he said he would right when the police showed. His organization turned their back on him as he was a failure and he ended up in jail as a result. He still looks the part of the refined thug, however, even in prison gear he is well heeled, looking almost like a political prisoner-until you see the hardness in his eyes.

His core belief? Money makes the world go round. While not exactly a conspiracy theorist, he believes that the people who have the gold make ALL the rules, even ones based on morality. He aims to one day make enough money to change the world.

Skills- Acrobatics 6(8 to cross narrow surfaces), Climb 5, Escape Artist 9, Perception 9, Stealth 9(w/Skill Focus), Sense Motive 7, knowledge: local 3

Trait-
Elven Reflexes- You gain a +2 trait bonus on initiative checks.

Feats-
Improved Grapple(Level 1 Character)- You do not provoke an attack of opportunity when performing a grapple combat maneuver. In addition, you receive a +2 bonus on checks made to grapple a foe. You also receive a +2 bonus to your Combat Maneuver Defense whenever an opponent tries to grapple you.

Scorpion Style(Monk 1 Bonus Feat)- To use this feat, you must make a single unarmed attack as a standard action. If this unarmed attack hits, you deal damage normally, and the target's base land speed is reduced to 5 feet for a number of rounds equal to your Wisdom modifier unless it makes a Fortitude saving throw (DC 10 + 1/2 your character level + your Wis modifier).

Saves- Fortitude 3, Reflex 4, Will 5

Initiative- 4

Combat Maneuver Bonus- 1(3 to Grapple)

Combat Maneuver Defense- 16(18 to resist grapple)

Monk of the Empty Hand

The monk of the empty hand eschews normal weapons in favor of whatever is lying around—rocks, chair legs, flagons of ale, even a simple quill pen all become deadly weapons in the hands of such a monk. A monk of the empty hand draws on his own ki to infuse his improvised weapons with power, and can transform a broken bottle into a magical weapon.

Stunning Fist- Stunning Fist forces a foe damaged by your unarmed attack to make a Fortitude saving throw (DC 10 + 1/2 your character level + your Wis modifier), in addition to dealing damage normally. A defender who fails this saving throw is stunned for 1 round (until just before your next turn). A stunned character drops everything held, can’t take actions, loses any Dexterity bonus to AC, and takes a –2 penalty to AC. You may attempt a stunning attack once per day for every four levels you have attained (but see Special), and no more than once per round. Constructs, oozes, plants, undead, incorporeal creatures, and creatures immune to critical hits cannot be stunned.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency

Monks of the empty hand are proficient with the shuriken only. A monk of the empty hand treats normal weapons as improvised weapons with the following equivalencies (substituting all of their statistics for the listed weapon): a light weapon functions as a light hammer, a one-handed weapon functions as a club, and a Two-handed weapon functions as a quarterstaff.

This replaces the normal monk weapon proficiencies.
Flurry of Blows (Ex)

Starting at 1st level, a monk of the empty hand can make a flurry of blows using any combination of unarmed strikes or attacks with an improvised weapon. He may not make a flurry of blows with any other weapons, including special monk weapons.

A monk of the empty hand’s flurry of blows otherwise functions as normal for a monk of his level.

Flurry of Blows (Ex)
Starting at 1st level, a monk can make a flurry of blows as a full-attack action.

When doing so, he may make one additional attack, taking a –2 penalty on all of his attack rolls, as if using the Two-Weapon Fighting feat. These attacks can be any combination of unarmed strikes and attacks with a monk special weapon (he does not need to use two weapons to utilize this ability).

For the purpose of these attacks, the monk's base attack bonus from his monk class levels is equal to his monk level. For all other purposes, such as qualifying for a feat or a prestige class, the monk uses his normal base attack bonus.
