Son of a hell spawn and human man, Thynevenom (TY-NEVE-NOM) has been looked down upon his entire life. His father, a skilled hunter, taught Ty to use a crossbow and blade from a young age. Both as for survival and self-defense against those who saw him as an unholy disgrace. His enhanced body allowed him to master the art of bolt shooting faster than most. Behind his fathers back Ty began using his skills for less desirable tasks than hunting. Local government officials would pay him to find and "disable" those who broke the law, but couldn't be brought to justice through conventional means. On Ty's 21st birthday, while hunting with his father- they were attacked by goblins. Ty survived but his father was killed by the band of goblins. Unfamiliar with goblins, Ty went to the king and begged him to help him find the goblins that had killed his father. The king said he would do what he could, but would need something of equal value in return. In particular, a favor.
"Bandits have been attacking traders and travelers headed into our peaceful kingdom- However, they are citizens of a nearby nation that we are at peace with. I cannot risk ending that peace over a few unfavorables. Your task my hell-child is to end them. If you are caught you are not of this nation and are on your own. If you complete this task I will provide you with any information I may come across regarding your fathers death."
Ty graciously agreed. Armed with his crossbow, rations, and the wrath of hell in his heart- he went into the wild. For several years he hunted the gangs of bandits that terrorized roadways and inns. Operating from the shadows, word spread among thieves of a man with a hand so steady he could shoot a man between the eyes in complete darkness with a single shot. When the last of the gangs had either been slain or disbanded out of fear, Ty at last returned home.
Upon his arrival he was whisked to the foot of the kings throne. The king approached Ty, beckoned forth a servant- who presented Ty with a Master Crafted Crossbow that Ty recognized. It was his fathers crossbow, but reborn. "Thynevenom you have done this kingdom a great service, and with that in mind I present you with your father's weapon and the title "The Dark Hand". May they both serve you well.
Ty bowed, thanking the king for his kindness. "But I must know your majesty..." Ty's soft spoken voice barely audible to anyone besides the king himself. "What have you heard of my father murders?" The king spoke but a single word. "Ironfang." Ty thanked the king once more. He turned and headed towards the kingdoms borders. As he neared the woods that lay on the horizion. Ty's brow furrowed, after all these years he finally had a name. A name he would track across any country, any terrain, and for as long as he needed until it was destroyed. Thynevenom the Dark Hand, would become the judge, jury, and executioner of any who bore the name Ironfang.
