About Thribden Malkut Diniya

Appearance
A very tall woman walks in, her pale blue skin catching the light of the sun and shimmering for a moment. She is dressed in black, a long black skirt covering all but her feet, and a black top slashed with blue. Someone might think she was in mourning if not for the smile she wears on her face. It's not a showy smile, just a small curve of her lips. As she comes closer, the spiral design on the wooden symbol hanging around her neck becomes more clear. You can see it mirrored on the hilt of the well made dagger sitting at her waist.

Background:
Thribden was reincarnated in the outskirts of Sandpoint. She appeared there near where several farmers. They were scared. Hadn’t ever seen anything like it. So, despite being in a 17 year old body—she had gotten good at identifying the age of the bodies she wore—they beat her. She was sure that her death would come again soon—it had happened before. But just as she began to accept her death, Koya had walked by. She broke the men up and came to kneel down by Thribden. She healed her with divine magic, then took her home to continue caring for her.

Thribden continued to have trouble as she grew. Word of her strange appearance spread around the town. Some were understanding and helpful, others suspicious and hateful. But Thribden continued to stay, she had always believed that wherever she had been placed in this life was where she needed to be.

Her rescue from near death, gave Thribden the desire to heal and help others, and she kept a close relationship with Koya. As Thribden grew though, her ambivalence towards death soon drew her to a woman in town, Reta, who healed in the name of Pharasma. Thribden learned and grew with Reta. She began learning divine magic. But then, a man came, begging Reta to come to a spot, a mile outside of town. His brother had been badly hurt and needed help. While there, they were attacked by bandits. Reta was killed. Before she passed away though, she was able to hand Thribden her dagger. It had been consecrated for use in Pharasma’s work, and would show special power if wielded so.

Personality:
Thribden is a strong-willed woman. She is usually a happy person, but she can become very angry. One such thing that offends her so is undeath. If there is undead around, she will fight them with everything she has.

Thribden cares for life and the lives of those around her, but because of her continual reincarnation, and her vague memories of past lives, she does not fear death. Sometimes it is time to die, or time to cause death, and that is okay. This attitude more than anything brought her into the worship of Pharasma.

Nigrum Rosa (The Black Rose):
This dagger had been passed down from mother to daughter in Reta's family for a long time. She knows the name and it's meaning only through tradition. She does not even know that the words are Senzar in origin. Reta had begun teaching Thribden about it a few months before her death since she was the closest thing Reta had to a daughter. In the last few moments of her life, she was able to pass the dagger to Thribden.
