Background:
Thora's parents left their ancestral home for Kenabres several years before the birth of their only daughter. Her father was an officer with Order of the Flaming Lance and her mother was part of the scribing pool. Thora was born and raised at the Front; she was drafted into running messages hither and thither as soon as she was old enough to run and take directions.
While on a mission to deliver a message behind enemy lines, at the tender age of thirty, Thora was captured by cultists and forced to take part in a demonic ritual. Whatever the ritual was for, it went wrong. The resulting backlash left the cultists dead and Thora free. Following her return to safe territory, she experienced years of horrible nightmares and job dissatisfaction on the level of Assistant Stable Mucker. She became painfully aware that being a messenger was simply not her lot in life.
