Thanks Paris!

Loving this whole adventure path so far but have a question. How do I figure out the save DC for ELACNIDA's Petrifying Gaze attack? No DC listed but it must be pretty substantial given her CHA score.

I came up with 10+5 (half of her class level for Spy) + 7 CHA + 2 Ability Focus = 24.

Is that correct or should I be using her HD instead of her class level?

Any help is appreciated.

Ok, I'm making a Magus character and I've read people talking about using Arcane Mark with Spell Strike and they make it sound like you can do this every round.

My understanding is that a Magus can only cast a level 0 spell 3 times per day. So assuming I have Shocking Grasp, I can use Spell Strike 4 times per day?

Impossible to tell if this has been mentioned yet in this thread, but I am multi-classing with a Youxia Monk.

Dervish with the Scimitar as his Wushu weapon.

2nd level gets Ki Pool and talents.

Arcane Arts (Su): As a swift action, the youxia can spend one ki point while casting a spell. The youxia's caster level is treated as 4 higher when determining the effects of the spell.

So Level 2 Monk, Level 1 Magus doing 5D6 with Shocking Grasp.

Brawling enhancement to Armor (from UE) and Belt of Anaconda's coils give bonuses to grapple as does the Dan Bong weapon which is a little more useful than the garotte.

Coming a little late to the party but the Boar Shred Feat in the Boar Style Train states " While using Boar Style, whenever you tear an opponent's flesh, once per round at the start of that opponent's turn he takes 1d6 bleed damage. The bleed damage dealt while using Boar Style persist even if you later switch to a different style."

If Boar Style did a continuous 2D6 bleed then why would an enhanced Feat in that Style Train only do 1D6? My conclusion is that the 2D6 is a one time thing as part of the initial attack damage and then if you have Boar Shred that becomes 2D6 on the attack and then 1D6 in subsequent rounds.

Am I crazy?

I see that this thread hasn't been posted in for awhile but I didn't want to open a new thread since I'm a newb.

Tell me if this sounds reasonable.

I have a Monk with Flurry of Blows and Improved Unarmed Strike.

If use of the Garotte is more of a Grapple Combat Maneuver than an attack and you can make an extra attack with Flurry of Blows can I use the Grapple as a CM and a knee as an attack?

Improved Unarmed Strike states that the Monk can attack even with arms full (as they would be with a garotte) and there is no such thing as an off-hand attack for a Monk that is unarmed.

So basically does the Garotte make the Monk 'armed' even though it isn't treated as an attack weapon?
