About Tellendrak the Fourth
Crunch:
Personal Guard (Sovereign Court Faction): loyal Ulfen bodyguard accompanies you on your adventures - does not take a space on the battlefield and cannot serve as combatant, but grants you a constant +1 bonus to AC vs. attack rolls to confirm critical hits. If you still take dmg from crit or sneak attack, you can choose to have bodyguard absorb 20 pts. of dmg which kills the follower. You can spend 4 PP between adventures to recruit a new bodyguard.
Fluff:
This is 'Tellendrak the Fourth' rescued in Nidal from the Plane of Shadow along his fellow prisoners, 'Tellendrak', which was not the 'real' Tellendrak, and was later renamed 'Tellendrak the Second', and 'Tellendrak the Third'.
All three have pledged to serve Baron Zzorn and live at his estate, and one of these always accompany him in his travels. Sadly, 'Tellendrak the Third' recently gave his life defending the Baron from an expert ifrit dervish swordsman. 'Tellendrak the Fourth' has now taken the mantle of personal guard, and has pledged to do so until 'his old bones give out!'
