Backstory:
While Telion never really excelled in school, and his choice in his development reflects that, he did manage to pass well enough to graduate. Once he had finished school, he actively pursued what he liked to call "aggressive biology research." For the most part, that looked an awful lot like hunting down whatever nasty creature made its way in from the jungles surrounding his home.
Two years ago, Telion joined the crew of a kasatha research scientist named Devros Enga looking for some extra protection on his next expedition to some of the less charted sections of the diaspora, chasing rumors of a massive worm that could carve tunnels in debris. While they never did find the worm, the months they spent together, and the stories Devros told of his people, resonated with Telion. When the expedition came to a close, a much calmer Telion boarded a small single person shuttle heading back towards Castrovel.
As fate would have it, Telion's shuttle never arrived at Castrovel. Shortly after his departure, a stray asteroid struck the rickety shuttle and disabled both its engine and communication systems. Telion drifted for a week in his disabled craft, and with dwindling air and power, his shuttle's navigation computer lit up. He was approaching Absalom station, but at his present course he would pass by the station and likely not even register on sensors due to his ship's low power state. Telion quickly sought out something he could use to give the ship the smallest nudge towards the station, but there was nothing useful. As he watched the station's indicator on his ship's computer grow closer, his antennae twitched. Something his kasatha companion had said in one of his stories, how some of his people could align themselves with the rhythms of the universe, the stars and the spaces between bubbled up in his memory. With nothing else to try, Telion sat in his messy cockpit, closed his eyes and felt... nothing. He was so used to reaching out to the minds of people near to him, he thought surely this was no different. As his desperation grew, he began to strip away any assumptions he had made, just reached and felt and then... something. A tug, not in his mind as he expected, but deep in his chest. The faintest pull, just off to his left. He opened his eyes, then quickly squinted as his eyes struggled to focus after looking into so bright a light. "Brilliant Telion, you've discovered the sun," he muttered to himself. But he had felt the sun's gravity. He closed his eyes again, and instead of reaching out, just allowed himself to float, alert, but free. Gradually, other tugs and pulls became noticeable, so faint compared to that of the sun before him. Finally, Absalom station was nearing its closest approach and he could feel the massive space station's pull. Tentatively, Telion reached for the invisible strand that connected him to the huge station and to his surprise, it thrummed and pulsed at his mind's touch. Emboldened, and desperate, Telion gathered his will, and yanked on that thread with all his power.
Telion awoke two days later in one of Absalom Station's medbays with a bruised antenna and the worst headache he'd ever had. The nurse told him that he had been recovered from a derelict shuttle that had nearly crashed into the station after he had somehow slammed his head into the side of the cabin. A shirren scientist had been in to inspect him due to confusion on how headbutting a wall on a spacecraft from inside it could have had so radically changed its trajectory, but the medical staff had chased him away.
That was four months ago. Rather than find a new way home to Castrovel, Telion decided to stay on Absalom Station for a while where he feels closer to the stars and explore his newfound connection to them.
