About Tamarie Reinesherz

Tamerie's parents are Errich Reinesherz (Human - Ulfen, Expert 9) a blacksmith from the Lands of the Linnorm Kings, and Tresselda (Elf, Paladin 10) from the fabled Elven homeland of Kyonin.

When he was old enough to strike out on his own, Errich left his frigid homeland for the south. He traveled through many countries before settling in Greengold, the lone human settlement in Kyonin. It was here that he eventually met his first wife, the noble Lady Tresselda, a Paladin of Shelyn. For six years they were happy as they raised their small family of three, until the day when duty called Tresselda away.

When Tamarie was six, her mother was summoned by the Elven government of Kyonin. One of their divine warriors, she was needed, for Treerazer was pushing north from Tanglebriar further into Kyonin, and they needed what army they could muster to fight him back. Being a paladin of Shelyn, Tresselda did not wish to fight, but for the good of the world and her people she led one of the battalions against the exiled demon. However, the Lord of the Blasted Tarn knew of her assault and mounted a counter assault. Her phalanx was broke by the demon's forces and Tresselda found herself staring right into the nascent demon lords glowing red eyes. She fought valiantly, but was of no match for the foul creature, and he threw her broken and bloody body into the masses of elven warriors under her command hoping to break their spirits. This had just the opposite effect, however, as the elves saw their leaders sacrifice and commitment to protecting them, and worked to push Treerazer and his forces back into the Blasted Tarn.

After the heartbreak of losing his wife, Errich could not bear to stay in a land that constantly reminded him of Tresselda. He moved north with his young daughter, to Daggermark in the River Kingdoms. Here he has prospered in his trade as a blacksmith and even found a second chance at love. In Daggermark he met Adula Niboska, a refugee from a fallen house in Brevoy. When Tamerie was ten, they gave birth to her younger brother, Ostag.

Growing up, Tamarie kept to herself most of the time, but she did make one close friend. Nickolai Branos was a boy from a poorer part of town, and a much less well off family than the Reinesherz family. Tamarie, first out of pity, but then out of kindness and a platonic love befriended and aided the young boy. One day though, she saw him picking the lock to the local bakery after hours. When she approached him, Nickolai told her that he had left his best marbles in the store, and needed them before the morning. When she pressured him though, he finally admitted that his family needed bread, and were too poor to buy it. He pleaded with Tamarie to keep his secret and she reluctantly agreed. After several nearly sleepless nights though, her conscious got the better of her and she felt that she needed to report her friend's crime, especially after the bakery was robbed three days after. As much remorse as she felt by reporting the crime, she felt even more for the fact that her keeping her promise had led others to being hurt. She prayed for days for forgiveness, both from Nickolai and the baker, but it came only from one source. Nickolai never forgave her for his arrest.

She has since discovered the church of Iomedae, and has vowed vengeance upon Treerazer and his ilk.
