Female Catfolk U. Rogue 2 (Cat Burglar, Poisoner, Underground Chemist)
"While he is telling the truth about the Cardinal, he is also a squire in service to Mitra." The thief informs the rest of the group. She chuckles at Augie's question. "I'm in no need for a pet at the moment, but I'm sure we can find some sort of use for him. If nothing else, he'll serve as a guinea pig for our concoctions..."

Talia hangs back a bit at first, but her natural curiosity draws her closer to this 'Timmons', her sharpened senses alert for any falsehoods. 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24 Sense Motive. She circles around him, very much the cat stalking the mouse, trying to see if she spots anything that might tell her more about him, or put the lie to his statements. 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25 Local She doesn't speak, as the others have that handled. She instead just watches and waits, a silent predator with her captured prey.

Talia waits impatiently for her companions to figure out their next move, bouncing a bit on the balls of her feet. While she was quite clever and intelligent, these seemingly religious riddles and wordplay were outside her area of expertise.

I'm a dummy, and forgot to add my 2nd level HP, nor did I pick a rogue talent. I'm looking at either Bomber which would let me make 4 bombs per day or Hairpin Trick which would make me that much better at disarming traps. Thoughts?

Sorry, had a super busy last few days, as my mom and I took advantage of the really nice weather to finish up getting our porch, patio, and yard ready for the winter. "Hmm. We haven't come across any enemies or adversaries, nor is there anything blinding us. Well, expect for this darkness, and I'm not sure how we could shatter that. Unless somebody has a spell that creates light?" Talia muses while stopped before the locked door. She does not yet attempt to unlock it, however, and she will try to prevent anybody else from doing so as well. "I'm not sure we've completed this challenge just yet." She'll warn should another try the door.

"I'll go, as I said, I'm a bit more proficient in the use of such concoctions. However, if Lilitu or anybody else would like to accompany me as backup, I won't say no." Talia has a class feature that adds her Int modifier to the damage of splash weapons.

"I'm unsure why the priest is the chosen one to attempt to search for traps, as opposed to person who can actually disable them. Best of luck, however!" Talia says, clearly confused by the group choosing Lilitu to venture down the hallway.

Talia will attempt to disarm the trap on the Eastern door. 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23 DD attempt 1, if that fails, she'll try again, assuming she doesn't set off the trap, lol 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28 DD attempt 2. Hopefully that does it.

Talia barely notices the cold, a benefit of having fur, but still shivers a bit at the sudden temperature drop. Using her extra keen senses, she scans the room, trying to find something useful. 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22 Perception If Jassie, and maybe one other one wants to aid Talia, that would get us a 24/26, at least.

Sorry for the delay guys. Despite getting about 11 hours of sleep Sun-Mon, I was absolutely exhausted yesterday. Talia traded out the trapfinding class feature, but she can still disable mundane traps with a +9 to DD. Do we know if the trap(s) are magical? I sure hope we have somebody capable of casting Detect Magic, lol

GM Falling Darkness wrote: Normally I let the players track ammo, but alchemy stuff like acid and chemist fire I want tracked. I am not the fun police. If you are a dedicated archer build I tend to get a bit more tracker and also gunfighters... I just meant like non magical, non masterwork, non alchemical, purely mundane crossbow bolts. Obviously Talia isn't a dedicated archer, but she is somewhat of an alchemist/poisoner, so those creations will be tracked.

Aggghhh the Unclean wrote: Unfortunately, that cursed cat was there again and was smugly sitting there amongst the empty dishes and licking it's paws when he entered. Excuse me sir, I did no such thing! While normal cats usually detested water and bathing, Talia was rather fond of the pampering a good bath could provide. She indulged in the warm, soapy water, soaking for quite some time. If any servants offered to help wash or comb her fur, she gladly allowed them, and would start purring contentedly over such attention. After the nice, long bath, she lounged around her room while occasionally grabbing a bite of food. Truly, she was reveling in the luxury provided.

Once they were fully clear of the prison, Talia takes a long moment to breathe in the fresh air of freedom. She stretches languidly, and grins. "Ah, to be outdoors! I thought I would maybe never feel a cool breeze or smell the forest again!." She sniffs the air, and gestures towards where she believes the manor lies. "Come, this way!" 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28 Survival

"The window. Back at the other end of the bridge? Past all the dogs, and the guards firing at us?. I'll pass." Talia says in reply to Audi's ridiculous question. "Anybody know the way to that manor?" She asks the group.

The catfolk somersaults past the guard her orcish companion attacked, and rakes his back her vicious claws. 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16 Acrobatics to avoid AoO. 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26 Flanking attack. OooH! Possible crit! 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22 if that's a confirm: 2d6 + 2 + 1d6 ⇒ (2, 2) + 2 + (4) = 10

Talia arches a questioning eyebrow at Audi. "Do we not already have a set of keys? Regardless of which option we choose, we should be smart about it. I don't think we'll survive if we just charge ahead blindly." She says, pointedly looking at Aggghhh.

"Grumblejack, wait. There's no need for you to needlessly sacrifice you life for us. You're a member of our pack now, we all escape together. We'll resume this hunt later." 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16 Diplomacy, trying to convince GJ to come with us.

GM Falling Darkness wrote: The cook hands you the keys and the apron and another cook grabs a spare pair of pants and a shirt and hands it to you. You also have two bloodied guard uniforms next to the wedged door. This takes one round with the whole group working together. There's 6 of us, 7 if you count Grumblejack, but only two wanted a disguise. They should be the only two spending the round getting the clothing. Meanwhile, Audi is locking the door. That should also take one round(the same as getting disguises). Meanwhile, the rest of us should be going after Blackery in that same round. Unless I'm drastically missing something, that is. Which I very well might be as it's 6am for me, and I need to head to bed, lol. |
