Hi folks, I'm a new GM and as much as I enjoy playing or hosting scenarios at this point I'm pretty interested in GM stars. I've reported three sessions from two reoccurring events. At this point I have 2 table credits. Here are my questions: # Do I need to create an event EVERY time I host a session or do I just add more days to that event? (reoccurring)
Thanks for any advice.
Hi, I've noticed that when I log in and click "My Account" or have to do anything related to https://secure.paizo.com my log-in session seems to either start over or is no longer present. I logged in, visited another page, then clicked "My Account" and it asked me to log in again. This wouldn't be so much of a problem if I had an insecure password. The problem is I'm using a 13-character alpha-numeric password so I have to type that horrid thing every time. Can you increase the session timeout so I don't have to keep logging in? Thanks.
This was my first RPG convention and it was a total blast. I played more PFS than I had room for -- what a blissful time! I am now looking forward to doing this annually and at dragon*con, etc. I've experienced all sorts of name-dropping. It's amazing how intimate the seminars were with industry leaders. I had a seriously productive and enjoyable weekend. Thanks Paizo and all that participated.
I've got a question about increasing your hit dice? I read the toughness feat that you gain more HP as you gain hit dice (...when you level). So does that mean every time i level up I also gain a hit dice. Example: Level 1 fighter with 1 hd 10. When I hit level two is my hit dice now 2 hd 10? I've looked in the core rule book but it's hard to determine what happens to your character after level 1. Thanks.
Hi Tac, Thanks again for all the information you gave me. I took it all in and applied it to the game. I had to make some adjustments because I ended up only having two players go through the map. They aren't finished, but man have they been getting a pounding. Especially the sorcerer. I had to nerf my monsters a bit. The first hit the hobgoblin gave her would have put her under by -2. For player morale I changed that. They're catching on though so this is pretty awesome. They surprised me though. I thought they'd explore a bit, but they kept going straight and ended up in the Dark Knight's tomb. If they survive I'm guessing they'll move around a bit. I can't wait to spring the spider, vargouelle, and the trap on 'em. The first long hallway, I converted it into a skills challenge. I'm pretty new to DMing so it was a hot mess, but they had fun feeling their way around in the dark. I'm converting for PF. Originally I converted for 4e, but I really like the simplicity of PF.
Hi, I'm running "A Dark and Stormy Knight" AP with some friends on roll20.net. It's my first AP and I've made minor adjustments playing with my kids and now I need to make other adjustments with this new group of adventurers. My main questions are:
I'm new to GMing and I'm trying to tailor this first AP to give these new players a great intro into D&D. It's their first time playing. I'm assuming the best enemies for a bard to fight would be spell casters since most of his skills are countering. Not sure about a sorcerer and barbarian though. The normal monsters found in this AP are:
There's a spot on the map with a long hallway, so I want to turn that into a skills challenge. The only problem is I'm not sure how to do it. I need to read up on the pass/fail attempts and whatnot's. As for the map, I've tried to import the map into GIMP (from a PDF), but it doesn't scale well for roll20 so I'm trying to either recreate it or see if there's already an asset available. Thanks for any help and advice. |
