Backstory:
Suuktidi is a young Mwangi man. He grew up in a peaceful tribe on the boarder of the Kaava Lands jungle. His life was quite good, though he never quite felt at home among his people. He would often slip into the jungle and explore. He became very adept and surviving the myriad dangers of the jungle. He felt more at home there than in his family's hut. His parents were dismissive of his long absences when he was young, but as he grew to manhood, they became more and more disapproving of his disinterest in the tribe and in starting a family of his own.
One day, when his parents could no longer bear the shame of an irresponsible son, they demanded he take the tribe's test for manhood. To prove his worth as a husband and member of the tribe, he was sent into the jungle with 2 other young initiates. Suuktidi was pleased, as the jungle is where he wanted to be anyway, but he quickly became frustrated with the relative ineptitude of his companions.
On the second day of their sojourn, their activities were interrupted by a fierce roar. The jungle went still. Moments later, a huge silverback gorilla sauntered into the camp threateningly. The great male reared up, roared again, and beat his chest menacingly. Suuktidi's companions bolted. Suuktidi alone remained and he calmly, carefully attempted to calm to ape. It was not quick, and Suuktidi thought his heart would beat through his chest, but eventually the silverback calmed and turned to leave. As it did, it stopped, turned its head back to him and grunted. Suuktidi understood that he was to follow. He never saw his family again.
Despite his happiness in the jungles of the Kaava Lands, he grew ever more curious about the constant flow of explorers into the depth of the Mwangi Expanse. One day, an opportunity to accompany a group of explorers presented itself and he took it, boarding a ship bound for Eleder called Jenivere. He knows very well what dangers await him deep in the jungle, but he considers himself singularly prepared to face them alongside his young gorilla companion, Sahibu.
Personality:
Suuktidi is an energetic, fun-loving young man. He is often seen jumping about and wrestling with Sahibu, his young gorilla companion. He has a huge, white smile that contrasts his dark skin, and a quick-witted sense of humor. While he is not entirely confident of himself among people, he is kind, generous, and generally very pleasant company. He does, however, possess a dark anger toward those who threaten his family - presently only Sahibu.
