A summary: Surabi Brisby is a hunter with a battle ostrich. She was a prim and proper young woman trained to hide her emotions behind her pretty face and now she is trying to be MORE. Which will be gotten by looting ruins and selling any artifacts found to fund her own ostrich herd. In battle, Surabi has her bow but her main offense is her bird. Protecting him is her prime concern. Outside combat, she is a standard hunter with the addition of okay face skills. She’ll be more of a backup in those regards. With the most excellent profession (shepard) if it ever comes up! crunch:

Possibly a hint of weariness. “Father passed shortly after, a happy man. My husband focused on his new business, and my life continued as it had.” the weariness continued, her narrow shoulders sagged in memory “Jonathan was intelligent, but not wise. He dove into it without learning or listening, made many errors, borrowed to fix them, made more, so on until… he was killed. All assets seized by creditors, except for me and one bird.” anger, her hands folded neatly in her lap, tightened, her eyes sharpened. It is unclear if the anger was at her husband’s murder or her father’s business having been ruined. The reasons for her life being turned upside down did not explain why she was seeking to enter the ruins so I redirected her again to the question. “I had suitors so I could have continued the life I had been living, just with someone new.” that was easy to understand, the young woman was lovely, fair and slender with a sense of proper bearing and humbleness about her. “But I decided that I had enough of other people deciding my fate. I am here to gain financial security through exploration and the subsequent sale of bounty found.” the reason then. Pillaging tombs for money. The next question is how. “On the ranch, I learned the bow and the spear, to drive away vermin, the four-legged kind and the two-legged. Also, my family has always had a touch of natural magic in our line, the link with nature allowed us to connect with the birds easier, led to our success.”
