About Stiehle Greycloak

Stiehle's father was a Varisian merchant who frequented the River Kingdoms and the nations surrounding it until the day the middle-aged nomad encountered his future wife, an elf huntress that lived in the Exalted Wood. After his birth, Stiehle was trained by his mother to use the exotic elven curve blade, her own favored weapon, and though his father still traveled the nearby lands doing business he stayed in constant contact with his family as often as possible. The older Varisian taught his son many useful skills that he had learned over the course of his life during their time together, including a few to which law-abiding citizens might object.

As often happens in such relationships, the elven spouse outlived her mate, who died of natural causes in his late sixties. Though not nearly as long-lived as his mother's race, Stiehle was still fairly young and had decided that the call of the open road was more appealing than being tied to the forest as his mother. Taking up the list of contacts that his father had built up over his many years, Stiehle embarked upon the life of a merchant, though even that was not ultimately fulfilling to the restless half-elf. He eventually made contact with members of The Exchange, a faction of Pathfinders interested in gaining great wealth and power and not always playing by the rules to do so.

This lifestyle appealed to Stiehle greatly, and now his mercantile trade is less about profit (his efforts were never going to make him rich anyway), but more about gaining knowledge of people and places that would further the ends of The Exchange - a task for which is well rewarded. Though his business, Greycloak Enterprises, appears to be a normal merchant's business (mostly transport of spices and raw materials over long distances to kingdoms willing to pay top coin for such), Stiehle is busy building contacts for The Exchange, creating an effective spy network and securing important allies for the faction.
