Karis slips the ring and potions into a pocket and kneels beside Badwe.

"Didn't you say he had blasphemed?" she said.

"And that's why I asked Torag to forgive him," Badwe replied.

Karis frowned, thinking about it for a moment, and then got to her feet. "I guess it's up to Torag if he wants to forgive him, but I don't think he got turned into a huecuva for nothing."

"Maybe we should think about finishing our own little quest for the sky, before we get too busy advising the gods?" Bearclaw suggests.

"Probably," Karis sighed, agreeing.

I believe it's back out to the passage we were in before, or is there a way forward I've forgotten?

I find their drama pretty entertaining, even intriguing. Plus, I'm enjoying trying to keep Horgus alive without completely chucking Karis's personality.

I get these ideas sometimes that work, some that don't, but when there's such a strong theme, I always try to find some way to approach it differently.

OK cool. I completely agree about the archetype. It's a very archetypal archetype, with a great mythic (didn't Haracles get angry and accidentally kill his wife?) feel, but really not the kind of thing you want to make other players cope with. At least, not players you like.

I try to specify when she's raging, and for ease of play, I'll try to specify when she's not.

Karis feels her control slipping. This has happened before, and it terrifies her. She throws her nodachi to the ground and stalks towards the fat man.

"He's BLIND," she snarls, holding her fists clenched at her side. "She's got a broken leg, and you cower behind an old woman?"

Marina clears her throat, pointedly.

Karis shakes her head impatiently, and jabs a finger against the fat man's chest. "I told you before to keep your mouth shut. I swear if your cowardice gets any of these people killed you will not make it out of these caves." She's trembling in her anger, and her arm is curling, tight, ready to strike.

Then she gets a hold of herself, sort of. She stalks away, panting, to lean against the wall, muttering to herself. fatigued for 3 rounds.

"She's not really a good fit for the Eagle Watch," Badwe murmurs softly to Anevia.

Bearclaw tries to think of any tavern tales he's heard about caverns under the city.

Karis roars in frustration more than pain. Her home is being overrun by demons, and she's lost underground fighting overgrown bugs.

If that drops it and she doesn't fail her will save, I believe she can move to stand just beside the other roach.

Badwe and Bearclaw both fire at the roach attacking Aravashnial.

They are ... and he is ... but you know, the easy old orc name recipe ... take a vicious predator and the part that he hurts you with (boartusk, wolffang etc)

You haven't met the guys I play with in RL. To their credit, though, it's not that they're too dumb to realize it's suicide, they just like rolling up new characters a lot.
