"Oh that sounds lovely." Ayako lifts one foot and frowns. "Although the resurrection seems to have fixed most everything already. Let me know if reimbursement is necessary, I'm sure the Trade Prince can be convinced to loosen some strings."

And I thought I was the crazy one around here. Seeker tier is a hell of a baptism by fire for PbP, but for what it is worth y'all seemed like seasoned pros to me!

The Overseer has given the GMs notice to finish up and not start new encounters. We were discussing how we could go after the last target for funsies.

The shemazian was listed as one of our first three options to challenge here.

Much as I would like to have a shemazian under my belt, I can be content with the balor.

"Oh what the hell, why not?" Ayako muses.

"Tch. Demons." she laments, as the translucent wall fails to ring the maralith's ears.

Tried to pop a ring wall of sound on her, but I don't think that check beats her SR. Looking up whether it fails or manifests to no effect on her. Probably won't make a difference.

"Yes. Well." Ayako considers the battlefield, before looking to Slim. "I believe I am accompaniment for this particular engagement." Producing her metamagic rod just in case, she rises in the air and approaches the battle unhurriedly. Obsidean and Candi once again find themselves bolstered by Sylvan speech.

Inspire Greatness as before, adding your Con mod to both rolls.

A full Resurrection with discount is 5455, so 5gp more than a raise dead normally and saves the cost of one Restoration (1380), meaning Ayako is back at full with no spell slot loss. I think this is the best method for the party to get back in the fight.

I'm out this afternoon seeing Aladdin on stage, but should be available afterwards. I know others are busy with conventions, but besides a couple private games I should be in the loop for starting the next fight. Statline is updated with the current negative level and will be updated as needed.

"-pation." Opening her eyes, Ayako looks around at the gathered crusaders. "Do help a lady up, gentlefolk." Rising, the golden fur so recently restored melts away, the human features reforming back over the course of seconds. Now-rounded eyes narrow at the sight of the party. "Tch. Embarassing to see myself the only one. I trust we won't speak of it further."

Resurrection is as raise dead, so I thought they had the same casting time.

Only one restoration can be performed at this time due to the clause preventing the second negative level from being removed for one week. Ayako has a boon to reduce the cost of raising by 50%, so a full resurrection might be more effective for similar cost.

This spell cannot be used to dispel more than one permanent negative level possessed by a target in a 1-week period.

I think the main question is if Elric's total is accurate and if Slim has the action economy to get Candi's scroll of breath of life into play.

As near as I can tell, it only used its whip at 10ft range to pull Ayako in. I don't know that it would be obvious that it has 20ft reach, but Slim was three diagonals away. That is 20ft, but the balor was up 15ft in the air. I don't think that changes the calculation but I could be wrong.

Ayako collapses in a charred heap, her luck having run out.

*EDIT* He also had 5 mirror images active, cast in the last encounter, duration 11 minutes.

Balors have constant true seeing, so illusions are no help.

Apologies for jumping the gun and deleting. Reiterating the boons, Student of Spells Retributive Abjuration activates to reduce the fire damage by 15 and Essential Field Agent's aegis of recovery heals the following.

Priority goes to the rest of the party. If you have a reroll to spare after the rest of you are safe, I'll take it. Odds aren't great however.

"Rude." Ayako snorts through gritted fangs. "The only thing you'll find us trembling with is antici-" With a wave of her hand, the battlefield re-configures. Pathfinders blink out of sight only to reappear in prime combat positions.

Swift action to Inspire Courage, followed by the aptly named Bard's Escape. Everyone may place themselves wherever is best for them. If possible, Ayako will block the second hit with her Quick Block Buckler.

"Oh certainly. Perhaps I can even share it with you when we aren't besieged by demonic hordes." Barking a laugh, Ayako turns towards the battlefield.

He's a coward that can't do the deed himself. ;)

Someone needs to tell Obsidian that he should wait to see if his argument convinced the opposition before quitting the discussion. :P

"Well. That was dramatic." A shiver runs through her form once more, but this one is followed by a much more marked change. Golden fur grows in as Ayako's face elongates, teeth sharpening, pupils sliding to narrow slits. A white tipped tail of matching fur parts the folds of her dress. Ears standing straight up atop her head, the kitsune looks around at the remaining Pathfinders. "I'll stake the title of Golden Witch on us defeating Teremthal. What say you?"

I just wanted to make sure everyone was okay going after the Balor. I've got a half price rez yet to use. :)

Ayako would be glad to help her sister Pathfinder get ready for the ball. :)

Ayako shivers. "I do not know much of either. But Teremthal is a balor, the most powerful of demons. If we face him, we will need to be at our strongest. I recommend attending to the other generals."

"All talk and no action." Ayako sniffs in disappointment. Seeing the new threat, she turns to the rest of the party. "Well? Who's next?" Taking a moment, she considers the remaining generals.

Using Lore Master to take 20 on the Sibilent Twins and Teremthal, Knowledge Planes 32.

"Indeed, this simply won't do." Ayako glides forward, clearing her throat. "Obsidean, stop staring and get back to work!" With an imperious cut of her hand, the earthen man finds himself back in control once more.

40ft forward, swift action to begin performance, and standard action to Purging Finale the stunned condition away.

Does Obsidean need extraction? If not, I believe I can end the stun.

Pretty sure it is still up.

You will not be able to cast in combat spells like Good Hope until combat has ensued. Don't worry, it will happen.

Vavakia Demon: ower body of a spine-backed quadrupedal dinosaur, complete with spiked tail, the demonic creature has the upper body of a muscular humanoid. Its powerful arms wield an immense ranseur while tremendous draconic wings unfurl from its back. The creature’sc head—part dragon, part saurian, part demon—is a nightmare of horns and fangs and cruel, glowing eyes. They are Huge outsider (chaotic, demon, evil, extraplanar).

Nalashnee Demons; A towering, corpulent beast, this fiend has the hideous head of a boar and arms ending in fatty, four-fingered hands. CE Huge outsider (chaotic, demon, evil, extraplanar). Resistant to physical damage that is not good, immune. to electricty and poison, resistant to acid, cold, fire, and magic. They can create an unholy nimbus of light around themselves, which will burst into a dazing flash causing targets to be overwhelmed insanity. They can also cast several spells at will, such as call lightning, greater dispel magic, and feeblemind.

Of the Sibilant Twins, you know nothing.

But first I guess, the Worldwound, the gift which keeps on giving. I vote for this Warlord dofus. I always like seeing the really tall ones topple over when you cut their legs out from under them.

"And delivering him a first loss should make for a very demoralizing spectacle." Ayako agrees.

Cursing in Tien, Ayako pulls a pair of lenses in a black band from her pack, tugging them over her eyes. "I really should have know better after the first one." she laments.

Smoked goggles on, ready for the next assault.

As Elric clears the path, Ayako steps forward to lend her voice to the battle. "Obsidian! Get out of that hussy's arms!" The command feels especially liberating as she begins a silvery song in Sylvan.

Liberating Command on Obsidian, then Inspire Greatness on Obsidian and Candi for the temp HP and +1 to Fort. Attack bonus sadly doesn't stack.

I'm out at our local gameday both slots tomorrow as well. (I get to play the newest 1-5s before running them!)

Floating lazily through the lodge, Ayako follows behind Obsidian. "Does this man have no staff? The dust suggests a lax hand."

"It'll be a challenge, but I think you can own it dear. A little blood-spatter and it will be accented just right."

It's all about attitude for me, if you're using it to overshadow the table and prevent others from doing anything, or working with the party and making sure you give them chances to influence the session. Ayako personally feels grateful to have some solid minion- I mean, associates to support, as she does very poorly on her own.

I find a lot of characters can turn out this way. My brother built a Shield Champion Brawler off of Dragon's Demand campaign mode chronicles and didn't have to build up through the levels. He got Shield Mastery after a couple games and it just went ludicrous.

"It sounds like he needs a new goddess." Ayako observes, floating closer over the battle. She concentrates, focused on the Calistrian foe.

I generally don't used the release and full attack action unless the creature is of humanoid intelligence.

"Enough of that! Slow down, you wretches!" Ayako snaps, gesturing with the rod. Red Tian letters appear on the arms and legs of the "innocents", seeking to hamper their movements. Finishing the incantation, she resumes her melodious speech, bolstering the party with courage.

Persistent Slow, DC19 Will twice for each of them. If Ayako cannot determine who is who, she'll target as many non-party members as she can next to Obsidian. And if she can see the half-elf, she'll try to get him if he's within 30 of the farthest target. Inspire Courage is up again.
