About Sir Didymons
A promising career in the Coin Guard was cut short when Didymous Billings was overheard complaining about the high cost of good Oregent wooden furniture within earshot of Lord Gyr himself. After the First Spell Lord clouted Didymous on the ear with the flat of his sword, Gyr had the indiscrete guardsman shipped off to Fort Tempest.
Realizing that technically, Didymous had been dubbed by the blade of the Primarch of Absalom, the young coin guard decided that this action was an accolade bestowed by Lord Gyr for his bravery and forthrightness, and began calling himself Sir Didymous. However, the rest of the Fort Tempest garrison saw things differently, and responded to Sir Didymous's proclamation of nobility by throwing him over the wall.
Sir Didymous decided that this career-ending accident entitled him to a full pension at the level of District Guard Captain, the normal rank at which Guard usually recieve a knighthood upon retirement. The city government's position is that he is an idiotic corporal who quit to avoid constant mockery from his fellow guards even though his injuries were fully healed by the Fort Tempest medic, and as such he is entitled to Bupkis. Ever since, he has engaged in a series of lawsuits with the Coin Guard, the Starwatch, various district governments and guilds that built Fort Tempest. To date he has lost every single lawsuit, but several are on appeal.
To make ends meet until the city realizes the debt it owes Sir Didymous, the magus has enlisted in the pathfinder society, with the goal of bringing Abadar's civilization to the world's barbarous masses (a category Sir Didymous believes includes everyone not from Absalom), and getting paid in the process.
