Background: Bahbert grew up in an brothel in the slums of Shadowshore. His mother was an "entertainer" at the Velvet Hatch. She specialized in catering to the small folk patrons. Bahb grew up being way smaller and was used to it. It taught him how to be cunning and savy. The bigger boys used their strength to their advantage, but Bahb always used his brain and charisma to get his way by befriending the dumber boys and bending them to his will. Upon reaching adolescence, he got a job working at various establishments including the Sasserine Distillery, Coffinsquatters, and The Skinned Man. He befriended a drunken cleric of Cayden Cailean one evening while working. The cleric was impressed with how hardworking Bahb was and liked his chutzpah, despite his short stature. The cleric took him under his wing and hired him on as his "squire", which mostly entailed carrying his booze and watching his back. About the time that Bahb thought this was a fool errand, he and the cleric got into a scuffle with some local thieves who we're trying to rob a drunken tourist. Bahb felt a warmth unlike any he had ever felt before. The feeling of helping people filled him with a strength that made him feel taller than the tallest man. He felt the hand of Cayden Cailean guiding his rapier and his heart. He then dedicated himself to helping the downtrodden people of Shadowshore. Word spread around about his heroism and he made a name for himself as "Sir Bahb the Underfoot." He then joined the local militia and tried his hand as as town guard.
