Description
Simon is still a young man, in his early twenties if that, but his unruly hair is already bleached stark white. His face is unlined, but pale -- what bits of it he allows to show above his obligatory scarf. His eyes are always visible. At a careless glance, one might assume Simon is blind or going blind. A second glance will show those pale grey eyes staring at you with great intensity, constantly searching for weakness of some sort...

Background
Simon is not a member of the Andoran army. The taciturn young man just showed up and volunteered when the General was looking for people to move in and "deal" with the turncoat Baron.

From what little Simon has said about himself, it is known that he is the second son of a minor noble family with ties to the distant land of Tien Xia. His older brother is the Heir to the family estate, and Simon... is not. He is most definitely not the Heir. While he has not said anything about a grudge between himself and his brother, there is some darkness lurking behind Simon's pale eyes, some sorrow eating away at him -- and it has culminated in him appearing at the General's quarters, offering to help in assassinating the Baron.

It's obvious that Simon despises the Chelish government and the idea of them expanding their powerbase at the expense of free people, but he has said with brutal honesty that he also sees this mission as training. Simon wants to improve his skills by testing them on the field of battle -- so to speak. The fact that this particular 'training exercize' will allow him to make a positive impact on the world at large is just a happy coincidence to him.

DM's eyes only:
Simon's family has a mission for him -- a mission to go out and seek some counter to a curse on the family lands. As second son, it is his duty to the family, and it is a duty that will cost him his life; such are the terms of the curse, that those who go out to end it "shall find their life slipping through their fingers like sand". Already, his hair has turned white from the few short trips he has made outside the family estate. Simon sees Pharasma's arms open wide before him, and a kind of despair gripped him. He knows his duty, but his heart is rebelling against the thought of his premature death. This mission to assassinate the Baron is the expression of that rebellion -- a last hurrah, a mad gamble against the Fates, a chance to see whether there can be more to his life than the mission which will inevitably claim his life...
