Shalin grew up rich but isolated, his family being embarrassed by the racial slur on their family. He was taught that he was unacceptable somehow. Upon adolescence the family tried to pack him off, A visiting Magus saw the potential of the lad and trained him for sometime. His parents breathed a sigh of relief - he'd go off and be an adventurer distasteful but at least not on their door step. Shalin took the hint and left town with Evaladane, but he had no intention on turning his back so quickly - he learnt a bit but then returned to his home. Determined to follow up what he'd learnt about the dark underbelly of his home and bring some light to it.

Prominent but not over powering tiefling features. Long black hair, unusually white skin. Pupil-less eyes.
Shalin is socially awkward having been considered an embarrassment and something to ignore by his family. This in turn has lent him keen eyes as to what others are doing. With out having experienced a lot of pain himself, yet he feels a keen commitment to improving this city and bringing justice and equality to all (or at least some... maybe a few?)
