Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

Shalastar's voice takes on an almost supernatural soothing quality.

"There really is nothing to fear with us. Well, mostly, anyway. Why don't you come out of there and we'll find a way to get back home?"

Diplomacy
1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

I meant the other door in the same room, which I guess is the secret door.

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

Shrugging as though he could care either way, Shalastar moves towards the opposite door and opens it.

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

"Do you think we're supposed to get someone from that other door?" Shalastar asks innocently.

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

"Ooh. I'll try it out!" Shalastar says angelically, his eyes widening in a strange sense of pleasure as he looks over the device.

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

Just a light bump to keep the game going. As soon as we're out of the labyrinth, I'll see if I can recruit some replacements for our lost members.

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

"Oh look, another one of those clue-things. I don't really get it."

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

North!

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

Shalastar nods. "Whenever you two are done.... doing whatever it is you are doing over there. No judgments here."

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

"No need to get all huffy with me. I am only doing what is required to move us forward." Finding the entire argument boring and substantially beneath him, Shalastar moves towards the other exit in the room.

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

I imagine Real Life has caught up with many of our players, the way it does sometime. Me, I'm almost totally available. I'm thinking of DMing an Arcana Evolved PBP.

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

Hello?

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

Ignore the dice roll. Mainly for my own personal use.
1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 5 + 2 = 16

Shalastar takes on a more feline appearance, contorting his body slightly in unusual ways more in line with his racial abilities. Suave, smooth, and sophisticated, he approaches the barrister with sensual movements that could make a prostitute blush.

"Malak, do be a dear, and heal Sotha, won't you?" With a graceful wave of his arm, a swift breeze of silk and some maddeningly unidentifiable sheer fabric brushes against Malak's arm and head.

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

"This petty fighting accomplishes nothing. We should move forward, all remaining alert, and cooperative for the time being. I do have ways of making you cooperate, enjoyable and not so enjoyable, but I would prefer to save my skills for when they are needed."

The barely veiled threat (seductive promise) sounds mostly bored, as though Shalastar were not at all interested in the argument the other two are sharing.

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

"That icy cold mist is not my cup of tea. And I feel slightly peckish from that frigid going straight through me." Shalastar says charmingly.

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

I rolled it above. It's the last line.

Feeling slightly weakened by the cold mist draining his warmth, Shalastar again releases riotous flame at it.

Burning Hands
3d4 ⇒ (4, 3, 2) = 9 Reflex 16 for half damage

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

(Bump)

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

Initiative
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

"And now we burn away this mist. Everyone stand back, these flames have a tendency to go a little wild."

Casting burning hands
3d4 ⇒ (2, 2, 4) = 8 Reflex 16 for half damage

Shalastar channels the unnatural heat of his body into lustful flames of passion, which are real enough outside of the colorful metaphor, and releases the flame with a zealous frenzy.

In case I'm not able to post at a reasonable time, in the future, Shalastar repeats the attack next round.

3d4 ⇒ (1, 4, 3) = 8 Reflex 16 for half damage

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

"Oooh, ooh, shatter it! That globe thing. Break it into tiny bits."

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

Perception
1d20 - 2 ⇒ (12) - 2 = 10

Casually looking over the door as if he does not particularly care, Shalastar deigns to gaze at it for a moment.

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

"Burning, I can do. Fire is quite pliable to passionate natures."

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

Sorry everyone, heavily involved with work and tax returns (I'm helping my parents with theirs too). May not be available until Wednesday.

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

Sorry I couldn't help out more than I wanted to. Shalastar has very low mental stats, so I'm trying not to play him as a genius/strategist the way I often would with wizards, rogues, and fighters.

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

"Sadly, the cold has been resistant to my charms. However, if you are feeling cold, I will gladly warm you up." The suggestive tone is rather obvious.

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

Shalastar looks down at the floor as they enter, attempting to lift his silken robes enough where it does not drag in the dust. Not that it matters to him too much, but it would be a shame to ruin such delicate fabrics.

"Oh, I see, I think. The many footprints are the way the "herd" went. Clever."

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

As dimwitted as he is, Shalastar remains near the back of the group, looking around the corridor for anything else of interest.

"Never liked icy derision, either."

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

"Careful, dear. There may be more traps." Shalastar purrs.

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

Shalastar hands it over, the novelty of the gem wearing off. "Here you are. Don't say I never gave you anything."

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

Ah, it won't work in this case. The person in question is a fire elementalist/kineticist. (2nd level) :P

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

Shalastar takes the blue jewel, not knowing what it is. "A useful tool, perhaps? It is lovely, whatever it is."

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

Megan, would you consider allowing Shalastar a cohort before he gets the Leadership feat? Possibly around 4th level or so. I actually have a character in mind (another character I had developed for a WOTW game that fell through the cracks), and it would make it so much easier to keep the game flowing and my player options open (particularly if I can control at least one character with an above average intelligence/wisdom).

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

"Well the straightforward is never fun anyway, subtlety is the key to seduction." Shalastar says, shrugging, and glides towards the northern door to inspect what is present, if anything.

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

Or does he?

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

Shalastar finally enters the room, languidly. He looks around, but probably doesn't see anything of interest.

Perception
1d20 - 2 ⇒ (12) - 2 = 10

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

Happy Christmas, Megan. Hopefully in a few days we'll be back to our normal gaming selves.

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

"Do you suppose its safe to go in?" Shalastar asks, a bit giddy with the thought of stepping into a room to his ultimate destruction.

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

Someone with a high intelligence, please interpret carefully and keep Shalastar from killing everyone, bungling through this thing. :P

"Deception is fun. Self-deception can be even more fun. These Asmodeans sure know how to kill a good time." Shalastar pouts beautifully.

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

"Of course, dear Malak. No time like the present." The words escape Shalastar's lips in a suggestive purr. He himself uses his silken scarves to tie his robes up higher, so they are no longer dragging on the floor beneath him.

"I actually am looking forward to a challenge of our combined prowess."

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

"Danger. Already loving it." The possibility of death seems to be one pleasure that Shalastar has already been exposed to.

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

Megan, hope you're not swamped with work, or the holidays. It's one thing to be swamped by work, another to be swamped by something that's supposedly fun.

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

I hope I haven't driven our other players away. It could just be the holidays too. December seems to be a month of awayity for most people.

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

That works for me. I sometimes wish these magic items would specify certain types of creatures that the spell would translate to. There could be multiple hats of disguise, then. One for each creature type.

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

Shalastar also accepts the presented gifts. The symbol of Asmodeus he holds lovingly. "It really is quite a beautiful design though, isn't it? And remember, Tragen, for a time, you are the servant of two masters." He giggles as though that were a very funny joke. "Perhaps the symbol is a way for Asmodeus or the Master to keep track of us. I once heard that Asmodeus could do that."

He also places the silver circlet on his head, where the dyes in his hair bled onto the silver. He watches Tragen's transformation with some interest. "Lovely. Let me try. We do this all the time on the shadow plane." With that he quickly changes into an aasimar with metallic golden skin, bright amethyst eyes and coppery hair arranged perfectly with a glowing halo behind his head. His diaphanous robes become pure white robes of snow linen. "Beautiful." At a thought, Shalastar changes gender to a female aasimar. "This brings back memories." He catches a glimpse of himself in the mirror, laughing a little at the deception and the beauty he would use to corrupt the world. Before the image bruised and bloodied as though it had been tortured for weeks. Finally Shalastar releases the image, returning to his own form. "A lovely thought for a lovely gift."

Also, Tragen, I thought I'd point out that per the rules, disguise self cannot change you to a humanoid (human), because you cannot change your creature type. You could however appear as a different subtype of outsider. However, its possible that this is a minor issue and we could be allowed to look human if we wanted. Any thoughts, Megan? I admit freely to having forgotten this rule when I used it to appear as the sergeant in Branderscar prison. EDIT: Actually I didn't use it incorrectly. The fetchling disguise self ability only allows humanoid type forms.

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

Shalastar emerges from the room that had been prepared for him wearing a new robe of purple, blue, and scarlet silks and sheer fabrics that revealed everything and nothing, a delicious tantalizing design that was both masculine and feminine. He was fortunate that such fabrics could be found in the mansion, but he did not put it past their patron to be a man of many means, some of which were more extraplanar than others.

He makes his way to the common seating area and finds Tragen and Tiadora. "Not discussing something too personal, I hope." The seductive whisper is soft but somehow manages to reach every corner of the room.

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

Oh dear... well there's a lot of innuendo that can be thrown around regarding swords, weeping bodily fluids... etcetera, but in the interest of keeping this thread PG14, I don't think I'll attempt one.

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

I forgot about the additional 2 skillpoints per level (DM flykiller's original rules)

So adding a point in Diplomacy and Intimidate as well.

Male Fetchling Sorcerer of Lust 3: 10/10 (13) hitpoints; 2 Con dmg.

Shalastar of course looks over the offered 'companions' but if he sees no creature of particular beauty, he ignores them. Their wills are, after all, already broken.

He spends the next few days training his mind with the texts available in the mansion. He learns more about the Lawbringer, Asmodeus, and his realm, Hell and its denizens, though he knew some already from a limited exposure on the Plane of Shadow. He also studied some of the legal texts, learning the art of deceptive wordplay.

He does ask (on the third day) if he might reserve two of the offered companions to 'try something out on', especially if his fellow adventurers do not avail themselves of the pleasure.

Momentarily entranced by the sight of the glistening blood still on his bluish purple palm, Shalastar looks up with an equally intense sensual appraisal. "A very good question. What happens next?"
