Male Tiefling Cleric 6

"A fair point." Seth acknowledges with a shrug. "You said it was a shame to have killed them after learning their intentions. What if I told you we have the same intentions?"

Male Tiefling Cleric 6

Knowledge (religion): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16 Yup.

Seth raises his hands slowly. "We are not here to fight, and we do not want you to have the same regret twice. Allow us to speak before you slaughter us."

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21

Male Tiefling Cleric 6

Seth steps forward. He knows the martials can probably handle this now, but no reason to be risky. He raises his unholy symbol and channels life into them.

Channel: 3d4 ⇒ (2, 4, 4) = 10

Male Tiefling Cleric 6

"Fall!" Seth barks at the elemental, voice infused with magic.

Casting Command. DC 16 will save negates.

Male Tiefling Cleric 6

Seth almost immediately puts a hand on Argan at the mention of them being weak, squeezing his shoulder. "Yes, thank you for the information. Let's hope us lowly mortals can fulfill our duties."

Holy crap how do you not have magic weapons at level 6 haha.

Male Tiefling Cleric 6

Seth takes the insults with a grain of salt; demons are normally superior beings after all. Still he feels the needle in the back of his mind. "Perhaps a tour to start, and any information you could tell us about this place?"

You should have said sooner sir.

That could have prevented your current circumstances.

Fortunately, what is in the past can’t hurt you anymore.
Even if you are still hurting from the past.

How do you plan to break the seal?
Would you mind telling us sir?

You hear, as the daemons drop their fighting stance and greet you as if nothing as ever happened.

*Snort* That was freakin' hilarious DM! Oh kudos, well done indeed!

Seth's eyes light up. These are possible allies. "Yes, we have indeed discovered such a means to break the seal. But it will take some time, about seven months, and I'm sure we will attract some attention in that time. You two are clearly very powerful beings, would you be interested in helping us to this goal?"

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19

Male Tiefling Cleric 6

Reflex: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15

Seth looks a the creatues and the abyssal writing on their necklaces. "Wait, wait!" He grimaces at the damage done to him. "You are, outsiders, yes? Please, talk to us for a moment before disemboweling us!"

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25

Male Tiefling Cleric 6

Seth contemplates their situation. "I believe we have just found a great gift. This book appears to impart upon us the knowledge required to do our job here. With that known, we need to simply fortify the Horn and set up a schedule to do the rituals, making sure to keep curious eyes away." He gives a nod to Vlad. "Of course."

Male Tiefling Cleric 6

"I could move it, but it would need to wait until tomorrow."

Sorry, I'm more familiar with the arcane list than the divine one.

Male Tiefling Cleric 6

Seth quickly reaches out and takes her hand. "Be cautious little one. Remember that we are allies with him, and if he discovers his hoard missing he may resent it."

Male Tiefling Cleric 6

Seth rolls his shoulders as he looks around the room. Well. Zikomo is completely mad. Hopefully we can use his madness to our advantage. "Tell me of these secrets, Zokomo."

Male Tiefling Cleric 6

"Tomorrow I will prepare a spell to better communicate with them." Seth switches to infernal. "It appears we have Kharn as their leader by combat, so we may be able to utilize them as minions."

Male Tiefling Cleric 6

Seth follows behind Argan and Kharn, scanning the area. "Onward I say, it seems their leader has fallen so I doubt they are much threat anymore."

Male Tiefling Cleric 6

Will Saves: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 301d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 181d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27

Seth whips his hand and tries to trip the raging frog again!

Trip: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28

Male Tiefling Cleric 6

"Malsvir deyhurr!" Seth raises his hands and a floating chain of force with hooks at each end appears next to the greatsword-frog, then they try to sweep his legs out.

Trip: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16

Chain of Perdition.

Male Tiefling Cleric 6

Seth takes a careful step away from the frog people, getting behind Grumblejack. "What is your business here?"

Male Tiefling Cleric 6

"I see no reason why we need to." Seth chuckles. "Look at the size of that creature. Even if for some reason it manages to figure out what we're really up to, it cannot fit inside the Horn." He nods to Vlad. "I agree, bottoms up, as they say." Seth helps get Lil down off of Kharn's shoulder. "Do lead on."

Male Tiefling Cleric 6

"Perhaps start at the bottom?" Seth suggests.

Male Tiefling Cleric 6

"If evil still resides, it is our wish to purge it. We shall not cross you wise creature, but we only seek to help."

Bluff: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (3) + 15 = 18
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14

Ouch, those rolls. Hopefully I earned his trust with the first post.

Male Tiefling Cleric 6

"Good!" Seth shouts out to the tree. Only have one chance at this. He steps forward in his Aasimar guide, hands held out. "We are aware of the Horn of Abaddon and what its accursed purposes are for. That is the reason we are here. I recruited these adventurers to help fortify and seal away the evil locked within." He bows his head respectfully to the huge beacon of power. "We want to permanently rid the roots of evil from within the ruins, but failing that we would set up a much stronger defense of it to ward it from any other nefarious purposes. Please, allow us to do this act to avoid the suffering of others."

Bluff: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (16) + 15 = 31

Male Tiefling Cleric 6

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

Seth tenses up. We must not reveal we are Asmodean followers. In his Aasimar disguise, Seth hopes the treant is not suspicious of him.

Male Tiefling Cleric 6

Seth chuckles along with Kharn, although his mood is somewhat soured by the possible upset at the church. I must be more careful. Silly little details almost exposed us. He looks up at the Horn with curiosity. "So this is it. I suppose my thought of a literal horn was off." He looks at the more...martially inclined people. "Shall we?"

Male Tiefling Cleric 6

Speak of the devil, as soon as I complain about it they finally fix the problem.

I'm not set on the avatar, but I never cared for the extremely vague one that Seth used before.
