Testchambers Beta

You are in a place, with beings, doing... stuff... And there was this man you knew.

A dream. A memory of a dream. A vague notion of something that slips away as you slowly awaken in a red translucent encasement. A pod in which you rest. Your skin is moist from a fluid that was sucked out only moments before you regained awareness. Through the red; it wasn’t glass, more a hardened membrane of a translucent plant; you could see more pods. The membrane pulls away and you find yourself in a room with bright coloured parcels in dark brown framing. There are plants lining the wall, and you hear the soothing sound of a water fountain nearby.

From somewhere to the side you hear a raw and heavy but cheerful voice.

”Good morning gentlemen, I am glad to see your slumber was a pleasant one.”

There is a small clockwork owl sitting on the edge of the fountain, its eyes glowing a faint blue. A shimmering, half-translucent image of a bearded head is floating in front of it.

”My name is doctor J Upton and I will be your advisor along the way. I would come myself, but having lost my legs long ago, that would be somewhat problematic. In my stead, Wilbert the mechanical owl will be my eyes, ears and voice-box. Please be gentle with him, since he is a very delicate piece of equipment. Talking about equipment, you wil find yours stored in a cache below your stasis-pod. When you are all ready, head for the glass door. It is not locked so you can simply push on. I will give you your next set of instructions once you open it.”

The door is made of glass set in a frame of sturdy wood

I have been doing some experimenting in a new campaign I am starting to see how everything works.
One of the things I did was post a testmessage in gameplay, which created the gameplay thread, and then removed that message once I knew it worked.
Now, instead of removing the entire thread or simply leaving it open, the deletion of the initial post corrupted the gameplaythread and put an ~ after the given titlename. You can add new posts, but they wont become visible.

Could you please delete the gameplay thread so I can add a new one?

And would it be possible to have a second gameplay thread in the campaign? I am planning of running two teams simultaneously in the same campaign. If it aint possible to add a second gameplay thread, I'll just use the discussion thread for the second team and the recruitment thread as a general discussion thread, but it would be easier to just have two gameplay threads.

The campaign in question is the
Arcenture Science: the Birthing Pod Project

An elf is an elf and a dwarf is a dwarf, and any standard race is good enough for science. Not for Arcenture Science! Ladies and Gentleman I give you: Birthing Pods! Fully configurable. Infinitely variable. Completely safe. Arcenture Science birthing pods will grow your specimen to full adolescence in a mater of months!

For this adventure, you get to design a 30 RP being following the Race Builder rules.
You (the player) are an arcane scientist, who designed his/her own creature (the character) using the DNA of different creatures. With the powers of arcane magic, the beings original blueprints gaven by the parent-race(s) is warped into a new being, perfectly tailored for a specific purpose.
With dreams, nightmares and illusions the beings mind is shaped according to a rigid schedule. It is given all the knowledge it is required to possess in order to use its special abilities A personality is carefully shaped to fit the ideals of their creator.

But an experiment rarely goes entirely according to plan. A flaw in the infused soul, a variable they missed in the design, an unexpected mental development, a wrong reagent in the multitude of chemical cocktails.

A quadrupped eidolon could be a suitable mount for a small creature and the same eidolon but with the large evolution would become suitable for a medium.

But what about saddles?

An eidolon is incapable of wearing any kind of armor/barding and I expect vestments and the likes are a no go for the same reasons. But is it possible to strap a saddle onto an eidolon? And if not, can you just ride them bareback?
