About Sejuki

A striking young lad with a smile on his face. Always cheerful and always attempting to joke around. You never see him wearing the same outfit two days in a row (unlike 99% of the adventurers), and when the mood strikes him, he can even change his entire look.

Background:
Childhood
The expedition of captain Marcus Olombo was a terrifying experience for him and his crew. They landed on the shores of the Dragon Empires in the forest of spirits region. There was little doubt about the magical nature of the place, but Marcus refused to return because promises of riches in these lands were plentiful. He set up a base-camp and took a score of men, heading into the forest. After a few days however, the crew that were a dozen when they started, somehow seemed less. He counted the same, but they did not seem as present as before. They were more often talking among themselves and they seemed more reluctant to obey his commands.
On the fourth day his entire crew apart from one of his scouts suddenly vanished. They arrived at a shoreline, the scout had let him astray! The scout approached him and told the camp and his ship was just south and he should go and never return, it transformed into a fox-like creature and ran off. Marcus fled to the ship. Using the crew that had remained on board, they salvaged what they could from the camp and found there a young fox-like creature. He captured it and fled off-shore. He sailed close to the shore and made several other raids inland before returning to Cheliax, he captured several kami and and some nagaji. Marcus found out about the shape-shifting ability of the kitsune and presented it to Queen Abrogail II of Cheliax (his queen). It caught the attention of Ridendiel Algernon and elven pathfinder. He freed the small kistune and raised him as his own.

Adolescence
The short-lived kistune proved a real challenge for the elf. By the time he was adjusted to the new kid in his life (it took several years), the kid was taking in knowledge and skills at a rate even humans would be astounded. He taught him to speak, read and write the elven language and rigorously trained him in arms and armor in order to prepare it for the outside world. Ridendiel kept doing pathfinder missions but made sure the kid was well cared for and trained in his absence by his wife and other children. Sejuki enjoyed the forest environment of Ridendiel’s home, it reminded him of his early childhood, before he was captured and enslaved.
At the age of 15, the kid had gained a similar understanding and skill as some elves take a hundred years to achieve. His uncommon nature made him being shunned by most schools and he definitely could not join any militia being an outsider. For a year he was forced to stay at home and help his adopted mother with menial tasks such as groceries, helping out in the kitchen etc.. During that period, a group of human travelers appeared in the town they were curious about the little kitsune being there and challenged him to rediscover his roots and explore all possibilities of his natural self. They knew about his original home and his people, they taught him the way of disguises and mastery of his inner self. When the troupe left, so did he. He needed to see the world.

Chronicles so far: (spoilers)
#5-08:The Confirmation:
This is the first mission for the pathfinder society. We, me and a couple of other new recruits, met up we the Master of Scrolls, Kreighton Shain. We received the details of the confirmation mission and we also met Janira Gavix, our Halfling field agent. We left the city and headed west across the isle. The journey took 2 days, on the second we were beset by giant fleas. We dispatched them quickly and got closer to the cave we needed to explore for the confirmation assignment. As soon as we arrived near the cave entrance, we were discovered by a minotaur however. Janira lead the minotaur away, while the group explored the caves. Inside we found rock carvings about the history of Aroden, the Last of the First Humans, as well as a lone gillman pilgrim who viewed the caves as a sanctuary. We quickly cleared out the caves of any dangers, as we returned to Janira before she would fall to the minotaur. We closed in on the minotaur, I had a small brush with death, but they could save me from dying and kill the minotaur.

#0-01:Silent Tide:
We were dispatched to find Yargos Gill in hopes of securing an ancient tome he recently uncovered. When we found him, he was surrounded by a group of goons near the cliffs. He told us the value of the tome. The tome could be used to summon the Black Echelon, a fleet of undead raiders, and order them to attack Absalom. The goons unfortunately being killed, could not tell us where to find its master and the tome. We planned to visit grandmaster Torch, a powerful underworld information broker, but were interrupted when Yargos discovered signals coming from the central granary. We quickly went over there and stopped undead assassins from poisoning the food supplies. We arrived at grandmaster Torch and disclosed our problems. We asked for help but he had a hefty fee. Unable to pay, we were forced to first open a couple of stolen safes he had acquired. When we did so, he told us the location of the base of the Nessian’s gang. On our way there, we discovered another Black Echelon attack. This time, the undead raiders attempted to silence Absalom’s famous Oathday pipe organ, in hope of using the silence of the organ as a sign to launch an attack of the undead fleet. We stopped the attack, and ensured the safety of the clergy playing the organ so they could continue their song. Finally we confronted Nessian in his tower on the beach, just outside of Absalom, we took the ancient tome from his hands and used it to signal the Black Echelon. The danger averted, we turned in the tome to the dark archives of the Society, where it should be locked away.

#0-05:Mists of Mwangi:
We were charged to brave the mist-filled Blakros Museum and seek out the curator, named Nigel Aldain. Aldain is an ex-pathfinder who now dislikes the society and has long denied our access to the museum’s many artifacts. Now he needs our help ironically. We first explored the Osirian exhibit. There was a nice display on mummification and some corpses were on display. Due to the magic of the mist, some came alive however, and we had to damage them. We went on to apologize to the offices located just behind the exhibit, but the staff had gone mad. We tried to subdue them harmlessly, but my colleague Timli unfortunately killed one of them (pure self defense he assured). Also the fantastic animal exhibit we visited later came alive and attacked us, we had to damage a couple of masks. In one of the neighboring rooms we found the remnants of one of the guards. The last room we visited was the Mwangi exhibit. Mock vines cling to the walls and ceiling of a grand exhibit hall. There were huts of grass in the open area. In the center stood a great stone ziggurat, rising from the mist, it was a really cool display. On top of the ziggurat, Nigel lay, strapped to the altar. We rescued him and destroyed the living idols that caused the mist in this place. Nigel thanked us, and renewed his membership to the society.

AP:The Haunting of Harrowstone:
A friend of my adoption father Ridendiel has died. His name was Petros Lorrimor. My father is really sad and unfortunately he could not attend the funeral due to an important pathfinder mission. I went to Ustalav and witnessed Petros’ funeral in his stead. I learned Petros was murdered. Together with other guests, we took it on ourselves to discover the truth behind his murder. The site where he was murdered was an ancient Prison, which was now haunted. The murderers removed the seal of the site and the spirits were leaking out into the neighboring village. We defeated the spirits temporary and were able to place a new seal on the prison. We also learned the murderers belonged to a secret society called the whispering way. I’ve reported in detail my findings to Major Maldris, and while it was no pathfinder mission, he was happy with the knowledge I brought back.

#1-35:Voice in the Void:
There was another problem in the Blakros Museum. A noble lady of the Blakros family and a couple of guards went missing in the basement. The basement was a dusty place, with one room with lots of statues and another with a taxidermy exhibit. In each room magic caused for some animation, and unfortunately some items were damaged during our self defense. The deeper into the cellar, the more alien the creatures became. This was due to a portal which was opened in a room which was build under the museum cellar. In this room we found the beautiful Imrizade Blakros, tied with strange metal ropes to a portal to another world. We were able to save her, but despite my heroics, she didn’t invited me into her family.

#2-01:Before the Dawn, part 1&2:
Contact with a Pathfinder excavation part at Azlant Ridge was lost. I was part of a team with the task to discover what has been going on and fix the supply route to the excavation site. Unfortunately the supply route starts at Bloodcove an Aspis Consortium stronghold. I purchased myself some sleeves of many garments, to make my disguises even more subtle. All in vain it seemed when the society put me together with people with the subtlety of an angry bull in a porcelain shop. Luckily they had other skills. Our contact in bloodcove, R. S., had a serious problem though, his goods were stored in a warehouse which had a giant ant infestation. We had to get rid of the ants before we could get to our goods. To ensure the supply route in the future, we had to re-establish contact with S. owner of Rulkep Tonics. It turned out he was being black-mailed by the Consortium with the life of his Son. We removed the black-mailer so we could depart with the caravan.
After couple of days, a band of Consortium members caught up with us. We captured the captain and learned of a second group in close pursuit. We picked up the pace in order to get to the Azlant Ridge in time. As we arrive, we see a horde of charau-ka moving in the jungle below the ridge. Even the Consortium agents who followed begged to be allowed inside the camp in order to be able to fight off the horde. Our only hope of survival was to find a weapon in the excavation site though. In the excavation we found a huge controllable cold iron golem. We survived, but due to the damage at the site and the knowledge the Consortium gained, we had to bury the site temporary and maybe come back later, with a stronger force.

#3-07:Echoes of the Overwatched:
Another visit to the Blackros Museum… We were to investigate of Anumet Akrostera, a pathfinder who was working there in search for a key to a mysterious portal. We found out he was killed in the museums observatory, where a being had been imprisoned for some time. The being took a book, the History of the True Art as well. In order to link the book with the killing of a fellow pathfinder we visited the Aranamirium and this led us eventually to the Tower of the Horn, in the sea. There we found the being, the Devourer of Reason, and defeated it, forcing it to return from whence it came. Gaining us the key so the loss of Anumet’s life was not in vain.

#7-01:Between the lines::
We were dispatched to Katapesh. Due to unfortunate circumstances, the pathfinder society was beaten to an important discovery. An important artifact was found at a dig-site, but grave-robbers stole the artifact and sold it to a well respected trader in the city. We were to barter with the man and acquire the artifact. The bartering went well, we had to perform some menial tasks, but when we took the artifact home, our venture captain Wulessa Yuul wanted to test it as quickly as possible. It went south… The artifact contained the memories of ancient scolars, and now tried to accumulate more knowledge. We were sucked inside the artifact, visiting memories from Wulessa’s past, while she was being copied into the artifact. We found our way out and rescued Wulessa from being trapped in the archive forever.
