I am sorry to announce that due to changes in my professional life, i no longer have the free time necessary to engage in online roleplaying. It has been a great deal of fun and you are a wonderful group. I apologise for the inconvenience.

Seg walks over to Vuvu during his inspection of Hemmings.

I could use some stitches myself. Those goblins cut me up in a few places, one of them tried to blow me up. I also wanted to ask you if you found anything on the corpses?

After the conversation with Vuvu the cavalier will inspect the goblins for heraldry or other hierarchical or military signs, emblems or symbols. He then goes back into the Dragon's draught and head for the bar.

I'll have a bottle of brandy and two glasses. Just put it on my tab

Walking to a table he makes eye contact with Hemmings and nods at him to follow him with a slight smile, its not an insistent gesture but more of an invitation.

I agree with Locke and Vuvu. They have numbers over us already. At night, with their superior vision, they could easily set an ambush. Never underestimate an ennemy just because they are short and atinky. I saw one use alchemicals at the vilkage. If they have acces to alchemical fire and acid they could pitetialky create a deadly trap. We shoukd wait for morming, leave early and catch them at noon when the glare of the sun is at its higheat. They will be tired and blinded and probably disorganised. Goblins are not known for setting up good camps.

About an hour later Segregius is getting dressed in his room while the two girls tease him from the bed.

As much as I would enjoy your company for the rest of the day, i am afraid i have matters to attend. Do not trust Cornash just yet. I think you girls should all prepare a small kit in case you need to leave in a hurry. If you need anything or are suspicious if something come and see me or another pathfinder.

Now wearing his clothes he opens the door and leaves it that way. He waves his arm towards it, inviting the girls to leave and then spends several minutes equipping his armor again. When he leaves the room he is fully equipped, sword at his hip and carrying his shield and saddle bags. He heads towards the group and, leaving his things in a neat pile, starts helping with clean-up (what is left of it).

We need to ride out. Catch those goblins, hunt them and take what they took back. It will help the moral of the town. I want to leave tonight. I am hoping to catch them in celebration. With any luck their best warriors will be too drunk to fight back, it will be like a fox in a hen house. Have we any words from command?

By the time they reach the common hall Seg's story has already deviated into grandiose fantasies. Goblins on hellhounds are sieging the town while Vuvu breathes gouts of flames on them and Hemming's bow shoots brilliant arcs of lightning. It seems obvious to the girls that he's making all of this up in an effort to entertain.

bluff: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30

Quite a few of the laughs sound genuine and soon the conversation turns into innuendos and seductive glances.. Seg looks around for Sypher, worried that something might have happened to her and hoping that she wont see him take the two girls under his arms upstairs, all this fighting and killing and possibility of being killed has put his mind into something else.

Arsil passing by Seg

I talk to drake and he said that he will work with Cornash and deal with it when he returns. We are are to go with our business as usual, dealing with the goblin, the fire and the local population.

Its good to hear of the Captain but that doantmcover the matter of Cornash. If he really is a lich then staying under his roof causes issue to me. No good men ever sought immortality through undeath. Is he a lich? Or are those only rumors?

When the girls start to flock around him, Seg cheers up a bit. He takes his shield and gives it to one of the girls to carry before wrapping his arm around her and another one.

So its stories of thrilling heroics you want to hear. Let me recount to you this day....

Seg launches into the story with embelishments, Vuvu comes off as an unstopable sulphuric demon 10 feet tall,Tyrel's bravery a beacon of light blinding his ennemy while the trumpets of heaven rang out for him and Arsil's grace has her floating and walking over those goblins like an angel in her white dress, of himself he says very little except that he was there and that he swears it all to be true.

No I think we all understand our place in this. I also have matters to tend to.Thank you for your patience.

This being said, Seg goes to his room to gather his belongings before leaving the Dragon's. He exits the building and gies where Vuvu piled the goblins, waiting to see if anyone else will meet him there.

Yes, this is Vuvu. He is one of the bravest man I have ever seen fight. He is brash and quick-tempered but his heart seems in the right place. I am Segregius Balatorius. I understand you are the owner of the Dragon's Draught?. We assumed in your absence that another man, an elf, was the owner of this inn.

Walking around the room, Seg goes to his sword, wich he picks up and scabbards right away, and to any other weapon wich may have been dropped during their flight.

I am very confused as to what is happenimg now. I thought Arsil had left the inn. I said i was goin into the inn. From what I understood, Hemmings entered some time before me and possibly Tyrell as well. In any case, am I with Cornash and his minion now? I think you may have missed my last post.

What was that creature? What does it want? Did they do anything to you?

I will then enter the building and go for my sword while making a prayer to Aroden to grant me strength and courage.

My apologies ladies, I was wrong in my assumptions. I still believe that leaving the village now would be too dangerous. I do not know this Cornash but rest assured that I would lay down my life before I would let him harm any of you. And if this yellow-bellied Kirren shows up again, we will pass him to court. Such crimes are frowned upon, even in Cheliax. We now need to find shelter for you here in this village, at least until we can clear the goblin invaders.

He says a quick prayer under his breath.

Aroden, bless you warriors for their blood is your glory, bring them back from the mettles for they only serve your will.

In answer to Arsil, i have no doubt that the meal was uncomforable to Seg, Chelaxians do it on point of pride more then anything else. I wonder if I will have to make fortitude saves with all this action so soon after a big meal. I probably would have a dagger/utility knife but it wouldnt be battle worthy. There are probably more knives on the table but I dont know for sure. To Lt Drake at the inn

I will gladly sign for an equal share and join the goblin hunt. Their very presence threatens every man, woman and child in the region. Besides, the way they panick when they see Priest has always amused me in a sordid kind of way

At the meeting

Segregius walks into the room, he stands tall and straight, his presence is immediately felt. At 6'5", few man stands as tall as he does but with his riding boots on he is nearly 6'7". His hair is long for a man, swept back but otherwise loose. Today he is impeccably shaved, showing a solid chin, wide blue eyes, a nose that was broken but has set in a pleasant way and good cheekbones. Being Chelaxian, his armor bears several ornaments, in this case acid etchings that shows gothic patterns. Underneat a wears a black and red slashed shirt and plain black pants with worn riding patches. His long sword hangs scabbarded at his side from a baldric covered in text etchings. A closer looks reveals them to be the names of man and woman. Taking a few steps into the room, he stops to survey the room taking in each individual person one at a time, the way he smiles makes it seem like such a natural thing to do. The last person he evalutates this way is Arsil. He gives her the old up and down with an unabashed cocked head. She is unded a beautiful sight in that white dress.

Segregius pulls out a small wooden statue hanging from a cord at his neck, the carving is simple but potrays without a doubt the symbol of Aroden.

I do not seek the favor of a God. Aroden is dead, but he is not forgotten and His actions are surely worthy of devotion. It seems to me that there is power in faith alone. And while I know that praying to him in times of trouble wont bring about a divine miracle, the strength it gives unto me is often enough. There are many paths to power and faith is one of them, certainly. But not all men are motivated by power or wealth. I have had both, more then most men and from a young age. One day, my father shall die. It might be of old age, sickness or fate, but on that day, I will inherit all of his power and wealth. And so you see, i do not seek those things for I already have them. Aroden represents many things to me, among them the willingness to let go of earthly things and to commit myself to sacrifice. He chuckles Hopefully i have not set up on a path that will lead me to martyrdom.

Seg finishes his drink.

Strong but too sweet i am afraid. I think i might make a switch to mead. Yes, Arsil has the right of it. What does the captain have in mind for us? Are we left on our own, to determine our own fate or did he make plans?
