SPECIAL ABILITIES:

Bloodthirsty You have a vicious streak, and nothing satisfies you more than warm blood on your hands and blade. Whenever you make an attack that reduces a foe to 0 hit points or fewer or you confirm a critical hit, your attack deals 1 additional point of damage. The additional damage is a trait bonus, and is multiplied by your weapon’s critical hit multiplier.
Darkvision (60 feet) You can see in the dark (black and white only).
Energy Resistance, Cold (5) You have the specified Energy Resistance against Cold attacks.
Energy Resistance, Electricity (5) You have the specified Energy Resistance against Electricity attacks.
Energy Resistance, Fire (5) You have the specified Energy Resistance against Fire attacks.
Fey Foundling Your strange connection to the First World and the fey infuses you with life, and whenever you receive magical healing, you heal an additional 2 points per die rolled. You gain a +2 bonus on all saving throws against death effects. Unfortunately, you also suffer +1 point of damage from cold iron weapons (although you can wield cold iron weapons without significant discomfort).
Order of the Blossom Edicts: The cavalier cannot refuse a fey’s request for aid unless it will interfere with his existing duties, or he believes the fey seeks to directly oppose his other aims and goals. He must strive to prevent gates to the First World from being exploited or corrupted. If the cavalier encounters blighted fey or other corrupted fey, he must strive to destroy them.
Pass for Human You can pass for human, and count as a humanoid (human) for all purposes.
Phantom Weapon A phantom blade begins play with an ectoplasmic sentient weapon known as a phantom weapon whose weapon type is chosen by the phantom blade. The weapon type must be one with which the phantom blade is proficient. A phantom weapon functions similarly to the black blade of the bladebound magus archetype (Pathfinder RPG Ultimate Magic 47) except as noted on the Phantom Weapon Progression table on page 6 and in the descriptions below. A phantom blade with this class feature can’t have a phantom of any kind, even from another class.
This replaces phantom, phantom recall, spiritual bond, and dual bond.
Phantom Weapon: Alertness Alertness (Ex): While the phantom blade is wielding or harboring her phantom weapon, she gains the Alertness feat.
Phantom Weapon: phantom touch (Ex) A phantom weapon is always treated as a ghost touch weapon, regardless of weapon type or any other abilities modifying the weapon. If the phantom weapon would ever be destroyed, it is instead harbored in the spiritualist’s consciousness for 24 hours.
Phantom Weapon: telepathy (Su) While the phantom blade is wielding or carrying her phantom weapon, she can communicate telepathically with the weapon.
Phantom Weapon: weapon of the mind (Ex) The phantom blade can harbor her phantom weapon in her consciousness or manifest it in its ectoplasmic form. The phantom blade can manifest the weapon through a ritual that takes 1 minute to perform. Harboring the phantom weapon requires a full-round action. While the weapon is harbored, the phantom blade gains Improved Unarmed Strike as a bonus feat and treats her unarmed strike damage as a monk of her level – 2. If the phantom blade already has this feat, she instead gains Weapon Focus (unarmed strike). The phantom blade’s unarmed strikes gain the phantom weapon’s enhancement bonus and other abilities when the weapon is harbored. The phantom weapon also recovers a number of hit points equal to its ego score every hour that it is harbored.
Read Aura (Perception, 1/day) Read the psychic impressions left on objects or in places.
Seeker You are always on the lookout for reward and danger. You gain a +1 trait bonus on Perception checks, and Perception is always a class skill for you.
Spell Combat (Ex) At 1st level, a phantom blade learns to cast spells and wield his weapons at the same time. This functions much like two-weapon fighting, but the off-hand weapon is a spell that is being cast. To use this ability, the phantom blade must have one hand free (even if the spell being cast does not have somatic components), while wielding a light or one-handed melee weapon in the other hand. As a full-round action, he can make all of his attacks with his melee weapon at a –2 penalty and can also cast any spell from the spiritualist spell list with a casting time of 1 standard action (any attack roll made as part of this spell also takes this penalty). If he casts this spell defensively, he can decide to take an additional penalty on his attack rolls, up to his Intelligence bonus, and add the same amount as a circumstance bonus on his concentration check. If the check fails, the spell is wasted, but the attacks still take the penalty. A phantom blade can choose to cast the spell first or make the weapon attacks first, but if he has more than one attack, he cannot cast the spell between weapon attacks.

APPEARANCE:

Seaglass has an unassuming appearance; meadium (5'10") height, and an athletic but otherwise average build. He keeps himself clean-shaved and his brick red hair is roughly cropped short by dagger. (When his hair grows too long, it tends to writhe in snaky locks a bit, belying his unnatural origins.) In most respects, he looks like a completely average human. One who studies him for a length of time might discern some unsettling details- his eyes don't blink at any kind of regular interval, nor does his breaking fall into a rhythm. His mouth stretches a bit wider across his face than one might expect. And when he smiles, which he is wont to do the moment a fight begins, that mouth seems to have just a few too many teeth inside. His eyes are green, but not an accustomed color of green- not jade or turquoise, moss or grass. Instead they possesses an sort of translucent opalescence, resembling a piece of glass fished out of the ocean after years- hence his chosen pseudonym.
The most significant 'tell' of his tiefling nature, though, happens whenever he activates his blur ability. Instead of becoming fuzzy and indistinct, he seems to become sharper and more focused, but there are... flickers... of something deeply disturbing on the other side of his soul. Something else seems to take his place, entirely or piecemeal, for heartbeats at a time. One might glance at him and see a human, but then just as their head turns an arm becomes a pseudopod, or his ribcage expands and flattens with each breath, or perhaps instead of a person being there at all there's a momentary suggestion of a vertical slash in the air filled with quivering teeth opening on to an endless void that isn't even black, but simply the color of nothingness.

BACKGROUND:

"Oh?" Seaglass asked, putting his hands above his head, "Who am I? Well you might ask, but where I come from, we don't give our names to just anyone. Perhaps better to ask what I am." He blinked and took a step away from the window he'd climbed in. "A thief? No, sir, in spite of appearances, I would not dare rob your manor, no matter how well appointed its furnishings. And the fact that you have a crossbow pointed at me and I'm unarmed? Well, I certainly won't be doing any thieving, I do promise you."
He pursed his lips, smiling slightly. "Let me tell you a story. I was born in the wintry land of Irrisen. My family were descended from one of the queens of centuries past. Quite far descended, but still, the blood means something. So, perhaps, you could say I'm Jadwiga."
"Of course, as many turns of the throne as there had been since our ancestor reigned, the family was quite low in status." He shrugged, as well as he could with his arms lifted in the air. "So the matriarch came up with a massively wonderful or absolutely stupid idea. A pact was made, with some truly unpleasant powers, and ten of their most nubile daughters found themselves with child not long therafter. None of them survived the births, of course. As for my nine cousins? I won't turn your hairs greyer by describing them, suffice it to say, I'm the only one that looked right." He smiled wider and cocked his head. "Usually. So, perhaps, you could say I'm an abomination."
"At least that was what the ruling Jadwiga said about the children, when word got out about what their distant relations were attempting. Well, they put an end to that quickly enough. Have you ever seen an entire family killed in one night? No, really, it's a genuine question–I was only four at the time, you see, and I don't remember much of what I saw, and I've always been curious. No? Oh, well. So, perhaps, you could say I'm an orphan." The look of feigned grief that crossed his face made it nowhere near his eyes.
"Mind you, I wouldn't even be that if one of the Jadwiga's dark fae allies hadn't seen the, to all appearance, perfectly human child screaming in the flaming wreckage of the nursery. A human looking child, a deranged Sidhe? There was only one way that was going to end. And so I found myself adopted, for a time. So, perhaps, you could say I'm a changeling."
"I really can't tell you much about the First World, it's... hazy, to me. Some of it was pleasant, some of it was less so, and that's all I'll say about that. In time, my foster mother grew bored of the tiresome way I aged, and cut me loose. I did receive some training in fae weaponry and magic. They even gave me a cause, of sorts, to fight for. Which I do, whenever a fairy in need might cross my path. So, perhaps, you could say I'm a knight." His smile grew wider yet, his lips seeming to open further to the sides than thy had originally looked capable of.
"That doesn't pay the bills, though, and once let loose back into the mortal world, bills needed to be paid! But my skills can command a price, and for a time I was a blade for the Aspis Consortium. The pay wasn't great, though, and they never gave me a badge. So when I found out there was more money to be had in selling them out to the Pathfinder society, well, it didn't take more than an unlocked gate and a deactivated ward to find myself in better company. So, perhaps, you could say I'm a traitor."
"But even that leaves my wallet wanting. I have some expensive tastes, you see. I find odd jobs to do when I'm not on assignment. For instance, that family whose child your carriage crushed? The death you avoided all consequences for by bribing the judges? Well, they're not as well connected as you. But they do have excellent finances. And I suppose that brings to why I'm here. For me? This is just another job. But for you?"
He flicked his empty hand outwards, calling a translucent green blade into it in an instant, slicing at the crossbow pointed at him before it could fire. As the bolt fired into the floor, his smile spread cheek to cheek, all the way across his face this time. "Perhaps you could say I'm vengeance."
