This is so silly and I love it. The pdf uses quantum digital technology so more can fit on each page compared to the print version. You just have to squint four-dimensionally.

Anything else we should know Scott? This sounds great!
Correct, though pregens is even a stretch as this is very rules light to allow us to focus on our love of horrible puns and word play (player participation is strongly encouraged).
Character flavor is up to you, setting is at a magic academy. The assumption is you are all students or at least there to learn, though in my first run there was a fighter that had gotten lost.

I should add that it only changes the avatar for those posts with the word in it, your main did here because you posted the name in it. Post without mentioning s.... and it should be your regular avatars.

Give it an A.I. and you've got a turing pitchfork.
This will be my first foray into running a game at PaizoCon so I'm hoping to make it memorable. If you love puns, wordplay, and generally messing about with words you're in the right place, if not, well, you may want to back away slowly.
Feel free to ask questions if you have them and to commiserate with the others who "win" a spot here.
A bit more info on characters - pregens will be provided for stats but players are free to change everything else about them that doesn't affect game mechanics, so be who you want to be.

Bestiary 1 & NPC Codex pawn boxes are both back in stock.
Next step would be email customer service or start a new thread on the CS forums.
Have you tried holiday16 without the asterisk? I don't see it in your list and it should be the correct one (the asterisk is to refer to the disclaimer)

Should i count "Put all other cards back in the box" as banish? I'm on the 3 adventure deck and i don't know if can remove cards with the basic trait from the game.
You'll get more answers in the Adventure Card Game subforum.
Banishing is a game mechanic while playing scenarios, putting the cards back in the box does not qualify as banishing them.
Have you looked into using Flip-Mats? Basic or Bigger Basic both fold fairly flat to 8x10 inches & use wet or dry erase markers.
Theopt wrote: skizzerz wrote: 1. What do you mean by Alternative Path? I can't really answer your question until you clarify this. If you're playing Rise of the Runelords, you jump into Burnt Offerings immediately after finishing Perils of the Lost Cost. In the box there is an alternative adventure card for perils of the lost coast. though we could do that before burtn offerings. Perils of the Lost Coast is more of an introductory prequel for the Rise of the Runelords Adventure Path. The rules recommend starting with Perils and then continuing on to the full AP with Burnt Offerings. Your character(s) would keep anything you earn in Perils including card and power upgrades.

Hello Guy, glad you're enjoying the card game. I've flagged your post to be moved to the Adventure Card Game forums where you'll get better results.
These serve different purposes: The larger Adventure Mat helps to organize the scenario cards & blessings deck, while the Character Mats organize the character's individual card piles. There is no overlap between the two.

Usually I do not post on forums and I do not know if this is a right place to post this topic. Perhaps, someone else asked this question before, but I did not find it. I love games, as others here I guess, I own a lot of board games and I own also Pathfinder adventure card game. You know, idea that you can play RPG without a dungeon master is fantastic, but purpose of the dungeon master is, to make a story, to make an interaction. Your game has dice rolling a lot of and that is great, but it does not have a story, it does not have a reason why to roll a dice. I know that you write a story on those small cards, but this is not enough. Perhaps those stories are elsewhere, written in your other book or products, but as I understand it, this is stand-alone product and as such I want to buy it. I want to have a reason, why to roll a dice, I want to know, who my enemies are and I want to have a reason, to roll dice against them in righteous fury.
My favourite game so far, is Lord of the rings LCG. In every pack what they create, they are providing a story. They did not do it from beginning, but after they start with it, they improve game so much. I am not writing this, because I want to compare or something. I am writing this, because I love your game and perhaps, this is a way, how to make it better. For those, who do not need this, they are not force to read it, so it will not hurt them and for those other (I hope I am not only one) it will be great improvement of game. So do you plan in the future to put stories in your games? By my opinion, this is the last thing this game is missing to really replace a dungeon master.
Yes I know what you mean, and just like you; I wanted more information about the story (which is quite deep actually) behind each game set. The solution is not actually cheep but it will give you what you are looking for.
If for example, you would like to know story behind the first card game (Rise of the Runelords) you will need to buy Pathfinder... There's also a free Player's Guide pdf for most AP's, Wrath of the Righteous is here:
WotR Player's Guide
Received a nice surprise in this one when reading the rules as it hadn't occurred to me I'd be in the credits :-)
... When you need to get down.
I've checked with our Canadian distributors and the three that have replied so far all have both boxes in stock.
One potential issue with Bestiary 1 pawn box is that our product number changed from PZO1001 to PZO1001-1 when we reprinted it, so the first would show as out of print.
That doesn't apply to the Bestiary 3 pawn box (PZO1009)though, and so far I have no answer to why you're finding it hard to locate. If anyone can email me store names and distributors who don't have them I can research this further - link is on the Contact Us page.

Technically it would be +1d6 for attack #1 and +1d6 for attack #2, not +2d6. If both attacks succeed the net result is the same, but damage should be figured separately in case there's DR or other factors.

Perfect! I needed a desktop background for my home PC, now Here Be Dragons!
Also note that when replaying a scenario you only earn the scenario reward for successfully completing it once, so replaying scenarios that reward additional powers or skill feats do not increase those bonuses. And you only receive the reward for success, and letting the timer/blessings deck run out counts as a failure.

I'm not aware of any issues with the pawns as they're still showing up available here. That's what's confusing me. Apparently the distributors in Canada are having issues getting it. The two stores here say they can't even order it. Have to see what happens in the New Year. It's definitely not out of print and should be available for distributors to order, could be they're just out and haven't restocked. Aside from ordering them directly from us (I know, Canada shipping, though our holiday discount would defray some of that) keep asking so they know there's demand, making sure the stores & distributors know it's the pawns, not the hardcover.

Yep, code is holiday15, good for a single order until Feb 1. Looks like it's missing the rest of the first paragraph. I'll let them know tomorrow about the missing info, if they haven't fixed it by the time I get in.

Greetings to all.
A few years back, I attempted to run a Curse of the Crimson Throne campaign on the boards here - due to my inexperience with the PbP style, it went... poorly, to say the least, not helped by the fact that I lost the book itself. However, now that I have a bit more experience, I would like to try and run Rise of the Runelords for a group of players - I was recently gifted the Anniversary Edition, and I hope that this run goes smoother than my previous attempt. Depending on whether I succeed in this campaign or not, I may try to expand on the boards to run further campaigns.
Recruitment will run through the 27th, at which time I'll hopefully select four to six players.
Rules:
25-point buy (I know it's unusually large, but from what I can see, RotRL is a bit of a meat-grinder)
Average starting wealth
Maximum HP at first level
Core Races, Aaismar, Changeling, Ifrit, Oread, Sylph, Tiefling, Undine are allowed. I am amenable to other options on a case-by-case basis.
All base classes are allowed, with the exception of Gunslingers other than the Bolt Ace. Unchained versions of applicable classes (Rogue, Summoner, Barbarian, Monk) are in use, but gun-based archetypes for any class are disallowed.
3 traits, with a relevant drawback available for 4, but one must be a campaign trait from the Rise of the Runelords list at AoN
Elephant in the Room
Background Skills
Automatic Bonus Progression
Milestone Leveling
Characters:
Ideally, I'd like to focus this campaign on role-playing and getting to know the characters. Included below is a short questionnaire from a recruitment I applied for some months ago - since then, I've often found it useful when making up characters of my own. While this is not required, I would at least like something for a background, as well as an RP sample if you would like to provide one - I will be taking it into consideration when making decisions, likely even more so than stat blocks.
Twenty Questions:
What is your character's name?
How old is your character?
What would somebody see at first glance (i.e. height, weight, skin color, eye color, hair color, physique, race, and visible equipment)?
What additional attributes would be noticed upon meeting the character (i.e. Speech, mannerisms)?
Where was your character born?
Where were you raised?
By who?
Who are your parents?
Are they alive?
What do they do for a living?
Do you have any other family or friends?
What is your character's marital status?
Kids?
What is your character's alignment?
What is your character's moral code?
Does your character have goals?
Is your character religious?
What are your character's personal beliefs?
Does your character have any personality quirks (i.e. anti-social, arrogant, optimistic, paranoid)?
Why does your character adventure?
How does your character view his/her role as an adventurer?
Does your character have any distinguishing marks (birth-marks, scars, deformities)?
How does your character get along with others?
Is there anything that your character hates?
Is there anything that your character fears?
On a more metagame note, if there are any issues you would prefer we steer away from, please mention it or PM me if you don't feel comfortable discussing it out in the open - this is meant to be a form of entertainment and relaxation, after all, not a painful therapy session, and I'd like to make sure that everyone is able to enjoy it.
About Me:
I've been on the boards for close to three years now, and I've participated in a number of campaigns - I certainly hope my skills are up to snuff, though I admit to being an amateur PbP GM. I am a big fan of Pathfinder 1E, though I generally focus on roleplaying and character development over mechanics. I'll be the first to admit that cosmic horror is kind of my 'fallback' writing style, as anyone who glances through my posts in existing campaigns can see, so there's likely to be strong themes of it throughout, intentionally or not. I hope to finish the campaign, but if I leave, I will inform the players first.
Here's the discussion thread, if anyone's interested.
For decades, the crime lord Gaedren Lamm has tormented the people of Korvosa, complicit in crimes from pickpocketing to outright murder, but the crafty criminal has yet to face justice. However, his days are numbered, as several of his former victims are given an opportunity to end his threat.
During your daily routines, all five of you found a mysterious harrow card, bearing a cryptic message and a set of directions.
On the back of each card appears the following message: "I know what Gaedren has done to you. He has wronged me as well. I know where he dwells, yet cannot strike at him. Come to my home at 3 Lancet Street at sunset. Others like you will be there. Gaedren must face his fate, and justice must be done."

This will be the recruitment thread for a Curse of the Crimson Throne campaign I hope to run soon.
Any class/race will be allowed, and evil characters are discouraged for party cohesion reasons, though any character can be submitted for consideration.
25 available points for point-buy score generation.
Two background traits will be available, or three background traits and one flaw. One of these traits should be a campaign trait from Curse of the Crimson Throne, available here through AoN.
Any first-party source featured on Archives of Nethys is available.
The background skills variant rule will be available.
Submissions will be open until February 19th, at which time I will select five characters to form a party. If anyone has difficulty making this, I am more than happy to extend the recruitment period on request. Players should hopefully have at least a passing interest in roleplaying their character, and while I by no means expect a full biography, I would like at least a few sentences regarding how the character was wronged by the elderly crime lord Gaedren Lamm (details are available in the Player's Guide, linked HERE). Experience is not necessary, and new players are encouraged to apply.
I have a somewhat busy schedule, but will do my best to post at least once daily.

I'm fairly new to the forums, but I have a moderate amount of experience as a GM and a number of Adventure Paths "burning a hole in my pocket," and it seems like PF1E is still a popular system. If anyone's interested, I am prepared to run the Rise of the Runelords, Curse of the Crimson Throne, or Jade Regent APs, and while I hope to run all of them at some point, I'll probably start with whichever one seems to garner the most support. Parties will probably be comprised of five members, except if I'm running Rise of the Runelords, which will probably have six, as I understand that certain aspects of it can be quite lethal. Ideally, I'm looking for characters with reasonably large backstories and players who enjoy getting into their characters rather than boiler-plate PCs and "murderhobo" players, but the applications are open to all. Again, I don't know how these recruitment systems generally work, but I hope to decide on which AP to run by the 29th. If anything I do conflicts with the way these things are generally done, for instance if one week isn't enough time to do this kind of interest check, just let me know, whether by PM or posting it in the relevant forum itself, and I'll be happy to change anything that's problematic.
