About Scarlet Song
Scarlet Song's mother was a simple seamstress for a minor noble family of the Kelish Empire. They paid for a tutor to teach young Scarlet how to both dance and play the violin. Scarlet excelled at the latter and would often be required to play for the young women of the family while they talked or relaxed. When Scarlet became old enough to set out on her own, she stayed with the family, saving up the low wages to purchase a masterwork violin. Her mother grew sick and became unfit to complete her duties and was let go. With no home or money on hand, Scarlet looked to sell her instrument for meager medicine for her mother. Nothing seemed to work, from the Lamia oils to the impshade. They were able to stay in a small hovel outside of a small settlement where Scarlet's mother passed later that month. As Scarlet was seeing to the body and clearing out the hovel, she found the very masterwork instrument she had sold hidden away at the bottom of a trunk that belonged to her mother. Scarlet has been traveling and playing for coin since then, and has been approached by a pathfinder recruiting agent. "Have you no where to turn? Be you of courageous stock? Have you nothing to lose but the whole world to gain? Would you like your name to echo through the royal courts because of your great deeds? Pathfinders Society was founded for and by people like you!" The sales pitch struck a tranquil chord in Scarlet.
