He sees :
A woman follows soon after, pale, so pale as to seem nearly an albino, with thick, flowing, silver hair. But her eyes are dark, without whites or pupils or iris... just glossy black orbs. Of course, she is an elf, (probably, though she's a bit robust for an elf) and some elves do have eyes like that. But hers look different, somehow... almost insect-like in the blankness of their stare. Clad in a gown that consists largely of a myriad, draped, light-green scarves, she clutches an overly thick tome and a series of frayed scrolls to her chest.
He's beginning to recognize that look.
"Sharinda, we've got a new arrival. Could you bring the special tea? You know, the 'Scotch'? She looks like she needs it."
approaches the woman
"Pardon my rudeness, Miss, but you have the look of a first time visitor. Please join us- take a seat until you get your bearings."
"My name is Saurig."

to Sharinda
"I'll have some of the pie and coffee."
to Malfearr
"I agree about the beer with sweets, but I find that coffee clears the head as well as complimenting the sweetness."

"So'k," Karrin says, "I was just talking in general. I guess those eggs must have been real good if they caused you to loose all sense of space and time!"
"It had naught to do with the eggs, though they were very tasty. My duties to my order and my diety require certain observations at times I cannot always predict. Have I missed anything of significance?"

Maybe one of the other staff members can give us a clue about what she would like.
half-rorc cleric 5
Whatever you think, Sharinda. I trust your judgement.
half-rorc cleric 5
Maybe some eggs? Bird, not reptilian. With salsa? And more coffee.

'Papa' is a worthy title for your leader. A leader should be the 'father' of his people. Very respectful.
half-rorc cleric 5
Aye, I think some solid food for our small friend would be good. Also, do you have any of the 'catnip' herb? He's interested in seeing some. For myself, I wonder, are pancakes available? And perhaps a strong coffee with them? We may need a clear head if we wish to get Traveller home.

Remind me to tip Sharinda highly- This port is superb. Another glass anyone?

I admire the speed and expertise of such warriors. I just have never been able to duplicate it without spells. The Ancestor granted me physical power, but not grace. 'Its all a part of his plan for each of us', is how my teachers explained it to me.

Saurig draws his side weapon as well.
"I don't think I'll try that. I usually rely on power, not finesse." he comments as he presents a rather brutal warhammer, fashioned to appear as a clawed reptilian fist. He lays it on the table, where it appears to twitch and shiver, the lamplight in the inn glinting off its decrotive scales of inlaid metal.

Sorry Karrin. I guess I've been around to many knights of the post who'd peel a berk as soon as spit at him. Please pass my apologies on to your father as well.
Traveller, have you asked Sarinda about this place you saw? She might be able to help you.
Jacob, allow me to invite you to drop by the World Serpent Inn (found in pbp discussion area) Simply pick a planar travellar avatar/persona and drop in. Presently, we're having port and grog and I think Karrin is about to stab someone. Just remember, even a dark elf/gobbit might wish to wear shoes on the planes. You never know what you will be stepping in
half-rorc cleric 5
"Karrin, I realize this place assists in limiting the effects of physical strife, but there is no need to prove it by stabbing anyone. That's rude."
half-rorc cleric 5
"You have both lost your homes when you journeyed here? That is hard luck. It was much easier for me- I am out among the planes on a search for someone of great importance to my homelands. I had time to prepare for my journey, which you were not able to do. How do you find your way if you are so lost? Knowing how to return home allows a being to stay on course, physicaly and even morally."
"Traveller, you say you have only just arrived? Perhaps we can find you a way to return to your village. Tell me, what did you first see when you realised you were no longer home?"
half-rorc cleric 5
Pardon me, I'm feeling a bit blue.
great. my first s---fover and its the roundheeled slut. whee

Welcome Zigel, this is Traveller Smurf, and I am Saurig. Karrin, warming the port in your hands allows it to get to know you slowly. Flame heat is a bit too much. Just hold the glass in both hands and think of someone or somewhere you love. That will allow put you in the right mood to savor the wine. Patience can lead to many rewards.
half-rorc cleric 5
picking up the bottle slowly and carefully opening it, then pouring gently into the array of glasses
Thank you, Sharinda. This should be a treat. Friends, I find it most enjoyable if you first warm the glass in you hands before drinking.
half-rorc cleric 5
Actualy, your ice cream goes fairly well with port. As does cheese, crackers, or many types of desert. And it is made from fruit, so its good for you, too.
half-rorc cleric 5
Good day to you, Hostess. I would have you bring bottle of your finest Prime port- but nothing enchanted. I wish to introduce my new friends to the potable. Perhaps we will wait on the victuals until they have tasted the wine with a clear palate.
And speaking of introductions, what may I call you, Miss? This is Travellar and I am Saurig.
half-rorc cleric 5
I am partial to a beverage called 'port' myself. The various vintages have a pleasing sweetness and aroma without being overly potent. May I order one for you?
half-rorc cleric 5
"Certainly I will join you in a drink, Travellar. What do you reccomend?"
half-rorc cleric 5
"Perhaps my eyes decieved me. Allow me to introduce myself, I am Saurig, called the Farwalker."
half-rorc cleric 5
"Your form appears somewhat mutable. Is this a feature of your race?"
half-rorc cleric 5
hmm-"I'm not familiar with a 'robo'. Perhaps it is some type of pet?"
half-rorc cleric 5
"Pardon me, small one. Do you mind if I share your table?"
