About Rizzickiel Verminous Grintz
Grizzled, burned, left for dead multiple times. What little hair he has left is the orangey red of his favorite thing in the world. His mistress. His obsession. His life blood.
His Fire.
Rizz, doesn’t remember a time without the fires. He was born among the flames of a gnome village put to the torch by a raiding goblin party. After the village was ashes, and all the residents eaten or dead or both, the goblins sifting through the junk found the infant gnome miraculously unharmed in a collapsed building. As the child was clearly blessed by Zarongel, they decided to raise the gnome with their children. He managed to survive the creche cages and with his natural gnomish inquisitiveness and being more intelligent than the average goblin was soon able to thrive under the tutelage of the religious leader, Gribsnish of Zarongel. While Rizz, definitely had the skills with fire and the smarts to use it better, he lacked the divine spark needed to become a true cleric of Zarongel. He faked his way through the clergy with the unintentional aid of another goblin, Zzizerixus who turns out to have been an alchemist.
Learning the secrets of alchemy, by sneaking into Zzizerixus’ room during the day to read his formula book Rizz finally decided that the tribe was keeping him from even greater powers, so he burned the warren out during the day after a particularly raucous party, involving several kegs of stolen whiskey. None of the goblins survived, and Rizz gathered the valuables, Zzizerixus formula book, and a dogslicer and set about to take over the world.
Trained by goblins to eat anything and take whatever he wants, Rizz finds himself in odd circumstances whenever he attempts to integrate in society. The solution to these issues typically involves copious amounts of fire and moving on to a new town. Though over the years he’s managed to direct his impulses into more profitable endeavors, typically mercenary work or arson for hire.
