Yes, improved evasion Riddywipple conjures a mist to hide himself and Huritt, then pulls a scroll from his master's pack. "The mist isn't real. Look through it." +4 Will to allies Standard Cast silent image (Will DC 14)
"Pastries, my faithful servant. With lots of chocolate and icing!" "Watch, I'll show you. It's wondrous, not a toxin." Riddywipple lazily flies around and in front of Huritt, clearly taking longer and going farther than necessary, and examining several objects around the room. Then he suddenly sprays the man's face with a burst of light and color. Sense Motive: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
The faerie dragon makes a high-pitched noise that could be a burp or a sneeze. Orange, blue and white lights spray out of his mouth, then he cocks his head and glares at Balik with a single eye. "Stop that! Don't you know it's contagious!" If someone happens to be next to Riddywipple and consents to PvP: DC 12 Fortitude or suffer euphoria for 1d6 rounds.
"Uh, Boss. His feathers look like rocks. You promised not to lie to me for an hour!" "Hey, Smelly! This is for your own good." Riddywipple spits on his claws and then slaps them together, letting the drool dribble out and to the floor. "Mortals! Do not be fooled by my major domo's lies. That wall isn't real!" Crunch:
Standard Cast grease on Balik
Move Retrieve a wand of mage armor from Huritt's belt Will: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (12) + 15 = 27 Riddywipple is giving all allies an immediate save to disbelieve the illusion at +4.
A tiny, purple and pink dragon zips into the room and lands on the man's shoulder. "Please, please. Do not bow, mortals. I have found that servants serve their master best when he is familiar with them." Riddywipple tilts his head back and up slightly, "And you will find that the master treats his servants best when they keep his belly full. A hungry dragon is likely to sate his appetite on the nearest mortal. Sweetie's Menagerie on Frister Street has the best cinnamon rolls in the city." Knowledge (arcana) (T10): 10 + 22 = 32
@GM: Riddywipple is down 6 hp. The rest was temporary hp that don't need to be tracked anymore. And did you forget to mark me grappled in the initiative tracker? Riddywipple squirms around, trying to conjure a slippery coating on his scales, but just can't focus enough. Crunch: Standard cast grease on self
Concentration: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
"Easy peasy, Boss! I'm--" Riddywipple begins flying up and away, but hits Huritt's head with his left wing and loses most of his momentum. Crunch: Move Movement
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 11 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 11 + 4 = 16 (Using Chronicler boon) Shit! Standard action will depend on the AoO :-( Edit: Looks like Riddy is threatened by both shamblers. Acrobatics (DC +2): 1d20 + 11 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 11 + 4 = 32 (Using Chronicler boon)
As a fairly average looking man nears the Wall of Names, the bright colored creature on his shoulder zooms ahead and then hovers in front of the wall. Riddywipple lazily floats sideways reading names aloud to himself. After a long minute, he says, "Miji Jaiqat!" and draws a wand. The tiny dragon waves his wand around like a greatsword, then Miji's name turns a deep crimson highlighted in orange. A few seconds later, Riddywipple turns around and shouts to Huritt, "Pentament's here, too!". Another round of sword practice follows, and then each letter of "Pentament Ulgomul" turns a different color. 2 charges from a wand of prestidigitation.
Level,Class,Race: faerie dragon familiar 17 (robe of arcane heritage)
Primary Tactics: He can auto-activate 5th-level scrolls, and has a 95% chance of succeeding with 6th-level ones. I'm happy to share scrolls up to 3rd-level that I bought with Prestige, but he is most helpful to characters who have their own scrolls of heal, breath of life, break enchantment, death ward, etc.
A tiny blur of purple, pink and orange zips to the center of the room and lands gracefully on the table. Wings flared and neck held high, the little dragon snorts a blast of bright colors, then pointedly stares down each person in the room. "The only thing that tastes better than you, is candy. So mortals would do well to keep me fat with candy, lest their days end in the belly of a dragon." Spellcraft DC 16:
Huritt is casting ventriloquism. Riddywipple lets out a fart loud enough to have come from an ogre, then continues in an even squeakier voice, "And I also love to groom human's hair and pick the lice out of their scalps." The dragon turns to glare at Huritt, then flies to a corner and curls up, using one wing as a pillow.
"Whaaaaat! How can you not ever have heard of me? Never? I have like a million simulacrum running around Golarion, babysitting its humanoids." The faerie dragon familiar is absolutely awesome, probably my favorite boon so far. He is actually stronger, quicker, hardier, smarter, and wiser than his master. It makes for some interesting times.
@GM: If possible, the battlement wall should be at least 2 ft. into the room, so that it doesn't block my allies from retreating. My goal is to create a stone wall that grants total cover to Riddy and Huritt, while leaving them the visibility to attack through the arrow slit. Riddywipple extracts a scroll from Huritt's pack, then extends the stone into a wall with an arrow slit. telepathy to all allies:
"If somebody can strengthen August or Nel, I can un-paralyze them."
I have a scroll of remove paralysis, but it won't do much good if they still have that much strength damage. Actions:
Move Retrieve a scroll of stone shape
Standard Activate the scroll Rolls: Use Magic Device: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (15) + 25 = 40
I forgot that Riddy is probably still invisible. He will fail to identify the spell effect, and delay. Rolls: Knowledge (Arcana): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17
Riddywipple effortlessly performs a series of upside-down barrel rolls on his way over to Nadil. "Can't you even stand still, Boss? That's easy!" He hovers over the oread's shoulder a moment like a hummingbird, flourishes his wand, then flies backwards a few feet. Telepathy to Nadil:
"This may hurt, but it's for your own good." Actions:
Move Movement
Standard Activate wand of cure critical wounds Rolls: Fly: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (2) + 23 = 25
Cure Critical Wounds: 4d8 + 7 ⇒ (1, 4, 5, 4) + 7 = 21
Don't forget about me, Big Boss! Riddywipple flies up toward the ceiling and pokes his colorful friend with a wand. Telepathy to August:
"This wand is boring, but Boss says I have to use both or he'll take them away!" Actions:
Move Movement
Standard Activate wand of cure critical wounds on August Rolls: Cure Critical Wounds: 4d8 + 7 ⇒ (1, 8, 1, 2) + 7 = 19 F%!%ing dicebot! Sorry, August :-(
CRB p. 197 wrote: You can't execute an attack of opportunity against an opponent with total concealment, even if you know what square or squares the opponent occupies. There actually isn't a prohibition againt AoOs in 20% concealment. Riddywipple reads the scroll in his talons, then flies about tickling the big folk. Telepathy to Nel and August:
"Hehehehehehehehhehehehe!" Telepathy to Nel and August:
"Oh, and you both owe me LOTS of sugar for protecting you from the electricity!" Actions: Standard cast communal resist energy (electricity) on himself, Huritt, Zephyrus, Nel, and August
Move Movement Riddy will see Zephyrus and Nel simply by heading for the doorway. May I assume that August is the loudest person in the other room, and that I have enough movement to eventually find him? With haste, I've got a fly speed of 90 ft.
Since Riddy can't see through the mist, it'll be harder to locate everyone. Noise will be a rough guide, so how about if he's able to find people, but everything takes twice as much movment? Humph! He could have just said he doesn't have any candy. I hate humans who don't carry candy! Riddywipple draws a sheet of parchment from Huritt's pack. Telepathy to all allies:
"I can protect you from the lightning, but you have to ask nicely." Actions: Move Retrieve a scroll of communal resist energy
GM.Kashka wrote: i meant the will saves I just went back and checked our pre-game discussion about illusions. I forgot that identification with Spellcraft was the one point where you and I differed. I count identification as an auto-save in my games. And apparently I haven't updated Riddywipple since buying the robe of arcane heritage, so am going through his stat block now. Rolls:
Will @+11: 2d20 ⇒ (14, 7) = 21 Plus whatever bonuses you grant for the Spellcraft. Edit: Yup, that all makes sense. Works for me.
@GM: Between repeated exposure and his Spellcraft modifier, I generally assume Riddy knows all of Huritt's spells. Of course, that's not in the rules at all, so I have no objections if you want Riddy to roll for everything. Also, I updated his taglines. Sorry, I forgot to do them earlier. Rolls: DC 17 Spellcraft: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 25
Riddywipple lazily flies over to August and hovers in front of him, "I see dwarf-flying is as effective as dwarf-swimming. Try spreading your fingers wider and sucking in as much air as you can. And I have a spell that can help, too." The tiny dragon pulls out a wand. This is going to be FUN! DC 30 Sense Motive: Bluff: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (13) + 17 = 30 He is way too eager to help, and you can see laughter in his eyes.
A brightly colored faerie dragon suddenly appears in the middle of the room, wearing a snug black cloak that holds a wand beneath each wing. "Fear not, ignoble mortals. I, Riddywipple, an ancient and wise dragon am here to--ooh! I smell cinnamon and icing! Are those--?" And the faerie dragon pilfers a cinnamon roll larger than himself, then proceeds to fly around the room upside down, savoring every delicious bite of the pastry. |
