Son of a couple of pharmacist in a small town north of Munich, Germany called Freising. Not really sporty he still learned to swim, climb and ski as most other bavarians.
Always a good student and a bookworm he was expected to take over his parents pharmacy, so he started to study pharmacy at the Ludwig-Maxemilian-University.
After his Master his parents decided offered him the chance to study abroad. He choose the University of Chicago to make his Ph.D.
As his girlfiend Wibke is a air-hostess for Lufthansa he gladly took the chance, knowing they would meet at least twice a month when she had a layover in Chicago.
After his Ph.D. he was offered a place in a hiking trip. As Wibke had to join a 4 week seminar he accepted and they wouldn´t have the chance to meet anyway. When they met the last time he proposed to her and after the trip he wants to return home to germany, work in his parents pharmacy and marry his lovely fiancee.
