On the first look Riben is a young good looking Varisian, that often caries a cunning smile on his libs. Long black hairs most time bound to a ponytail and brown eyes, yes he is a little bit shorter then the average human male and thin. Very striking are the deep red Varisian Tattoos that even cover some parts of his face. Some thing that don't fits the archetypical Varisian, are his clothes. Most times he is dressed in the Garments of a wealthy Chelaxian Settler with an expensive looking Scimitar on his side, not giving a clue about being a Mage. If the Viewer now get sceptical and looks closer, he could find some fine details in the Face that are hint of his Chelaxian Blood.

Riben was born and most times raised in Sandport as the second Son of a Chelaxian Shipowner and a Versarian Sorceress(holding her power secret to most neighbours). His Father (Rincken Tora 45) ,the oldest soon of a Shipowner, a Sailor meed his mother (Emyralda 40) first time on the Market were her Clan traded goods with the townsfolk and acquired some extra coins through entertaining. Against all odds the young pair married a few days later so his mother could stay in town and give up the nomadic live of her folk. Before a entry year passed their first Son (Rikun 23/Sailor and hire to the family Business) was Born, two years later Riben himself followed and last but not least four years later his younger sister (Wren 17).
At very young age it was obviously that he had inherited the magical power of his Varisian ancestors. As he turned 9 years old his mother feared she could not teach him enough about his talents, that he don't would harm himself or others. So she send him to her clan, special to his Grandmother Syeira (63). Syeira, herself a relative mighty Sorceress and the matriarch of her clan, thought him how to control and use his powers, some knowledge and secrets about the Varisian histoy, including Thassilonian language, written and spoken and donated the Varisian Idol, which is nowdays his bond item, to him. He lived 3 years with his Varisian family learning much about the living way of this peoples and gaining his Tattoos.
Shortly after his returned home his father decided that, it would be good to have ship mage for the family businesses and send him to the newly founded magic school of Galduria, paying for the costly studying fee. To the trouble of his teachers, the highly intelligent and talented young Riben was a very wild child. And even worse he learned very fast to use his wit and charisma, to fast talk the Wizards so he could avoid their punishment. A few days before he graduate the school of one of the first Wizard that learned ther and is now on his way back to his home, Sandport.
