"Well, so long as they don't sacrifice sophonts and they don't charge the earth, but provide fair healing, who's to care?" Ree asks, still sounding cheerful. "Let's mosey, good people. Time's a-wasting, and dash it all, I'd simply hate to be a still target if our escapologist lycanthrope decides to come back with friends and have another nibble. I'm just not disposed to a casual dining scene tonight - I've already eaten."

"Up you get, mister butcher man!" Ree says in a cheerful tone of voice, and tries to assist the injured man back to his feet. "Time to see about getting your nicks and cuts fixed and your maladies mended, all of that. So. Where is the nearest healing temple? I've only visited the book store, so far."

"For future reference," Ree stage-whispers to Halungalom, "it is always a good idea to ask first before casting spells on someone else. That, and perhaps the lady did not care to have her wet clothing noticed by a male of any species ...?" Ree winks, lips quirking as she tries to suppress a smile.

"Well," Ree says, shrugging. "If there is nothing to be found, then presumably the blackguard (used in its original meaning, describing a generally reprehensible individual, not the prestige class) must have scarpered somewhere. What say we get mister butcher to whatever healing temple is currently open, and have one of our more socially acceptable people make a report to the sheriff or what have you?"

She seems like a pretty level headed individual who we can trust to be discreet. That should give our friends down in the sewer a few minutes to see if they find anything else of interest to the sheriff. What do you think?" "Well, I'm all in favour!" Ree says, applauding politely. "So long as I'm not the one who to explain to her that someone got mugged, anyway. Don't get me wrong, this is a lovely little town, but I got the impression they're not too fond of half-orcs. Getting my name mentioned to a sheriff or a high priest in combination with a mugging, possibly a monstrous savaging, and things could go badly for me."

"Sorry, no such luck," Ree replies with a shrug. "I don't even own a clothesline ... But maybe I can give you something else that will be helpful ... Illuminate!" Ree touches an innocent pebble on the ground, which starts to glow with a bright, white light. "Take it with you," Ree suggests, offering the pebble. "You can never have too much light in dark places, hmm?" Casting Light on a pebble and handing it to Rhade. Passive Perception check for what's going on on the surface, please; I'd like not to be attacked from behind while the rest of the group is in the sewer. ^^

Maybe they were just an exceptionally good climber. But yes, a friend up top with a rope and a helping hand would probably have been very useful to someone trying to get out of there." The half-Orc seems to be enjoying the investigation, in a way ...

"And maybe he or she slipped into a new pair of boots once they were safely out of sight," Ree opines with a shrug. "Let's face it, there are dozens of ways a determined person can give you the slip if they want to. And personally, I'm not too eager to plunge into the darkness when I don't have a clue what's waiting for me there. It'd be like just sticking your hand into a hollow tree without knowing whether there's a nest of vipers or owls' eggs in there, know what I mean?"

"Well, here now, neighbour," Ree says to the apparently angry Elf. "That's not the way to treat a wounded man, is it? Why don't we all settle down a smidgeon, and see whether the nice man's willing to talk somewhat more, alright?" She does not actually touch Ulven, but very gently tugs on the collar of Chod's shirt, as if suggesting it might be a good idea to let go of it.

Ree decides to shrug off the hostile treatment she's been receiving since her arrival in town. It's not exactly anything new to her. The poster with the face of the bugbear makes her smirk. 'Yes, smashing idea. Send a lot of untrained or half-trained amateurs out to hunt down a monster that has already proven to be capable of -' Ree's train of thought is derailed by the shrieking, and she turns around. 'Now, a clever woman would run away from a horrible scream,' she tells herself. 'Especially in a town where she is less than popular by virtue of her stock. ... Oh, well. No one ever accused me of being clever.' Ree turns towards the source of the screaming and mutters words of power: "Neque vis, neque infortunium me tangete. Lorica magi me vela." A brief shimmer of force surrounds the Sorceress, and she starts to run towards the sound of the screams. The words of other spells are already tumbling through her thoughts. Casting Mage Armor, just in case. I hope no one objects to translating at least some of my spells into Latin; I have a few pre-translated from another campaign. ^^

Mythril DM wrote: I was thinking the reason your in Sandpoint is to visit the Curious Goblin bookstore. Are you new to town or have you been here a few days trying to save up the money for a particular text? Seeing as I, personally, know nothing of Sandpoint, I'm relieved such a good explanation exists for Ree's presence. Let's say Ree is new in town, and looking for a quick job so she can go visit the Curious Goblin and perhaps take a few things with her.
