During his exploration of the ship, Rasamoro comes across the note written by Tophan. Belying his gruff nature and air of servitude, the solidly built Nagaji recognised the value of competition and always aimed to improve his own abilities. 'Should be a good opportunity to test out my fellow companions.' he thinks to himself. Rasamoro had been quietly sizing up his companions since they met and was curious to see if his appraisal had been accurate.
Until the time came to attend, Rasamoro continues to familiarize himself with the ship as best he can. He also checks on Jun to make sure his companion is fed, brushed, and generally cared for. He doubted Jun had ever been on a sea voyage despite their island origins and worried about him.
"You honour me, Lady Ambassador. Feel free to call upon me as you require. If you will excuse me, I must inspect the ship and see to my lodgings." Once Rasamoro feels that he is excused, he rises and goes first to find his lodgings and unpack his belongings. He leaves his heavier weapons in his cabin, choosing to carry a sheathed Longsword while on the ship. Then he begins an examination of the ship, attempting to memorize the layout and any potential risks to the Ambassador.
Ahh, it's been a while since I've played a character who has honour oozing from various orifices. Usually I'm all for self serving, power hungry Wizards.
Fear not though, there's more to this lizard than meets the eye. ^^
Rasamoro saluted the Captain before he wandered off, and appeared to look pleased with the proceedings. 'A man after my own heart.' he thinks to himself. Rasamoro felt highly honoured at being given the task of personal Honour Guard to the Ambassador. To date his assignments had been strictly minor. Of course he completed each task with the professionalism expected of him, but the opportunity to further serve the Satrap excited him.
Understanding that his companion, Jun, would be allowed to travel with him, Rasamoro quickly headed back to where he had stabled him, with a word to his companions to let the know. After sorting out the necessary paperwork for an early withdrawal from the barracks stable, Rasamoro headed back to the Ardhanya, and prepared to stable Jun at the appropriate place on the ship before preparing to introducing himself to the Ambassador. Usually he would examine his surroundings and explore the rest of the ship, but considering the position bestowed upon him he had to act in accordance with his Code. Upon finding the Ambassador, Rasamoro salutes her before kneeling down, head bowed hands extended towards her. "My Lady Ambassador, I am Rasamoro. It is my honour to serve as your personal guard for this mission. I will serve and protect you on this journey; my life and blade are yours to command." The impression given that this was a deeply humbling and respectful introduction. After all, Nagaji are sometimes whispered to be little more than slaves in their demeanour. While Rasamoro prides himself too much to ever consider himself a slave, he willingly offers his service as a show of respect.
I started out on rpol.net, which is where I'm playing in the 3 other campaigns at the moment.
Thinking about getting my GM feet wet; I just started GM'ing IRL for some friends of mine, was pretty fun, if exhausting experience. I agree with being more of an adjudicator than a storyteller when it comes to GM'ing. Ultimately the players control the story, you're just guiding them. Having said that when I GM for my friends I have to put the foot down sometimes because they're a bunch of rules lawyers (AND Thespians, dear god) and refuse things out of principle for the sake of time/rest of the party.
(Awesome idea for a first time GM apparently is running a 9-11 Pathfinder Module with half an hour prep time, lol)
I'm in 3 others at the moment, though not on these boards. A Kingmaker campaign (on hiatus due to GM becoming homeless), a Jade Regent campaign (also on hiatus because GM just had a kid) and a custom world Pathfinder game where the whole party is about to get Ogre'd to death.
Making sure his various weapons are cleaned, polished and arrayed on his person at various levels of holstered, Rasamoro heads down to the docks. Seeing a small group of people stand in front of the boat he believes to be the Ardhanya, Rasamoro heads over to them.
Rasamoro nods in recognition at his companions to be. "So we meet once more. May the waves take us swiftly to our destination.", he said to the small gathering at no one in particular. However he takes a closer look at Tophan with an expression that could be considered a frown. "Is that a custom for your kind before boarding a seafaring vessel?"
Rasamoro had readied himself for his imminent journey aboard the Ardhanya as best he could. He was somewhat puzzled by his assignment to it; after all, so far his assignments had been limited to land operations, but as duty called, so did he answer.
Ensuring that Jun is stabled appropriately before setting out, Rasamoro made his away to the docks and after taking in the scene, made his way to board the vessel.
Hey sorry I haven't been posting, been at a pathfinder convention 9-12 every day (and will continue to be for two more days) and my brain is dead. Love reading the RP though. :)
Rasamoro nods at Tong Kai, satisfied with the answer his fellow Nagaji gave him. His attention then turns to Tophan and Karval and he scowls at both of them. "Division in our ranks will not be tolerated. If you cannot save your anger for our enemies then I have no use for you."
"What I think it will be is irrelevant. I will perform my duty. There can be no more." Rasamoro replied, keeping steady eye contact with Tong Kai. When the other beings to speak in their native tongue, he narrows his eyes a little, but replies in the same tongue.
Tong Kai:
I do not know. I am bound to serve Shi Gongxi, for it is he who returned my honour to me. Whom do you pledge your being to?
My condolences for your loss. Please, take your time. This can wait.
"Rasamoro." The up until now quiet Nagaji spoke up once no one had further introduced themselves. Sitting towards the back of the small group he would have been relatively unnoticed, despite his large frame. "I will provide what protection we may need on our mission." Evidently he cared little for the little intricacies and nuances that his supposed companions displayed and the games they'd dance around each other. They were brought together for a purpose; this purpose must be fulfilled.
Settling himself back into his seat and nursing a steaming concoction, Rasamoro continued to calmly monitor the ones gathered around the table with serious, red-tinted eyes.
You can count on Ras going all Lizardception at level four. XD Edit: Aww, RAW means I can't take it. GM, any chance for being able to switch to a Large version of a monitor lizard at level 4?
Ras will work well with most anyone, provided they take no action that would endanger or shame the honour of Eastwall. He might have issues with Tong Kai, he would believe that Ronin are somewhat disgraceful.
He's actually a pretty tolerant guy in other respects, though not the brightest egg in the nest. He should make for a pretty imposing figure, though; he stands almost 7 foot tall, is armed to the teeth and had red/brown/rust coloured scales.
He'll be happy to be a frontliner and has decent tactical knowledge, and would never let his personal opinions get in the way of performing his duties.

"Honour. Loyalty. Service. Remember these words and live by them." So was Rasamoro raised and bred. Instilled with these values he grew into a fine warrior, utterly loyal to the Satrap and his own company. He has become a low ranking officer tasked with the defense of Eastwall, something he takes great pride in. Though he can be a bit blunt at times he is not completely without social graces, something that has helped in his slow but steady rise in rank. He is quite skilled in the art of mounted combat and shares a particularly close bond with his bonded mount, Jun.
Rasamoro is quite perceptive and his talent has been very useful to him, allowing him to not be caught unawares and successfully set up ambushes.
