[spoiler=backstory]Rain Iyavak was born the son of the shoanti Hawk tribes medecine woman and a traveling elf that she had an afair with. Never really fitting in with the rest of the tribe, Rain made friends with the animals in the area, including the tribes totem animal a Firepelt cougar and her cubs. When he was around twelve years old Rain decided to leave the tribe and set out on his own, when he did so one of the Firepelt cubs followed him and they became good friends over time. after a few months of travel Rain and the firepelt were attacked by a group of goblins, the cub died trying to protect Rain
