==SPECIAL ABILITIES==
Aura of Good (Ex) You project a strong good aura.
Bit of Luck (Sp) You can touch a willing creature as a standard action, giving it a bit of luck. For the next round, any time the target rolls a d20, he may roll twice and take the more favorable result. You can use this ability 6 times per day.
Bonus Feat Humans select one extra feat at 1st level.
Channel Positive Energy (Su) You can unleash a wave of positive energy. You must choose to deal 3d6 points of positive energy damage to undead creatures or to heal living creatures of 3d6 points of damage. Creatures that take damage from channeled energy receive a DC 14 Will save to halve the damage. You can use this abilty 7 times per day.
Good Fortune (Ex) At 6th level, as an immediate action, you can reroll any one d20 roll that you have just made before the results of the roll are revealed. You must take the result of the reroll, even if it's worse than the original roll. You can use this ability once per day at 6th level, and one additional time per day for every six cleric levels beyond 6th.
Orisons You can prepare a number of orisons, or 0-level spells. These spells are cast like any other spells, but they are not expended when used and may be used again.
Resistant Touch (Sp) As a standard action, you can touch an ally and grant them your +2 resistance bonus for 1 minute. When you use this ability, you lose your resistance bonus granted by the Protection domain for 1 minute. You can use this ability 6 times per day.
Skilled Humans gain an additional skill rank at first level and one additional rank whenever they gain a level.
Spontaneous Casting You can channel stored spell energy into healing spells that you did not prepare ahead of time. You can "lose" any prepared spell that is not an orison or domain spell in order to cast any cure spell of the same spell level or lower (a cure spell is any spell with "Cure" in its name).
Weapon and Armor Proficiency Clerics are proficient with all simple weapons, light armor, medium armor, and shields (except tower shields). Clerics are also proficient with the favored weapon of their deity.
==TRAITS==
Focused Mind Your childhood was either dominated by lessons of some sort (be they musical or academic) or by a horrible home life that encouraged your ability to block out distractions to focus on the immediate task at hand. You gain a +2 trait bonus on concentration checks.
Sacred Touch You were exposed to a potent source of positive energy as a child, perhaps by being born under the right cosmic sign, or maybe because one of your parents was a gifted healer. As a standard action, you may automatically stabilize a dying creature merely by touching it.
The Lorenza clan have always been devout followers of Abadar, but even in his youth, Rafaello felt little connection to the God of Contracts. He preferred a lifestyle a bit more freewheeling and loose- perhaps, he thought, he just had not found the right God as yet.
Suffice it to say that Rafaello did indeed find the aforementioned "right God;" or Goddess, it would seem. The Lorenza family, fairly wealthy merchants for countless generations, was ambushed in Southern Taldor by a band of Qadiran bandits, and Rafaello and his family were helpless to stop them. It was only by the grace of the Eternal Rose herself that a cleric of Shelyn, Streya, happened upon the scene and leapt to their defense, driving away the bandits with her flashing glaive and a bit of divine magic.
Seeing Streya in action taught Rafaello what true beauty was, and in that moment he became a follower of Shelyn. Streya was injured in the battle, and the grateful Lorenzas took her in until she could recover. In the days that followed, young Rafaello became infatuated with the cleric, as well as with her Goddess. Art, beauty, love... those were the very same things that Rafaello valued over all else. It only made sense that he would convert. His family, of course, was far from pleased- especially his father, who saw his change of faith as a "violation of contract." The fight that followed was one for the record books- and ended with Rafaello running off into the night with his new favorite person.
What followed was a whirlwind of romance and adventure- art and fighting and even a bit of dungeon-delving. Streya taught Rafaello the use of the glaive and taught him the ways of the Eternal Rose, and they eventually became engaged. Now, with a pregnant Streya eager to settle down and raise kids, Rafaello has ventured out on his own for the first time (at Streya's insistence), hoping for one last grand adventure before family life takes him over...
Personality:
Rafaello fancies himself a "Gentleman Priest," preaching the faith of the Eternal Rose as he wanders Taldor seeking adventure and righting wrongs. He adores beauty in all its forms, whether appreciating fine art, sampling rare wines and exotic foods, or participating in a glorious battle. He is easily mistaken for a dandy, but possesses a keen sense of justice and can't resist an opportunity for adventure. That said, he is a little uneasy at the prospect of doing this without Streya watching his back for a change- uneasy and more than a little eager to prove that he doesn't have to rely on her.
Description:
Rafaello is a handsome Taldan man in his late twenties with long, curly black hair pulled back into a ponytail and olive skin. He is a fancy dresser, but relatively tasteful, and he always has his holy symbol of Shelyn visible.
