Ra’nuk Vytharia was born 4th son of a noble house in Taaryssia. As a lowly, nearly worthless son he often suffered ridicule among his peers. To his benefit Ra’nuk was bright, charming, and quick - traits that let his family overlook his gender. The family quickly pushed young Ra’nuk towards stealthy rogue patrols.
Ra’nuk found himself conscripted as a lackey to serve the whims of a vile noble patrol priestess. He served as part-time consort and scout for the priestess until one fateful day, when suddenly the patrol came under attack by a dwarf scouting party. A vicious battle ensued that nearly wiped out the drow patrol, only the demon-worshiping priestess and Ra’nuk survived, but each were severely wounded. The priestess blamed the scout for leading the party into the ambush, but before she could heal her own wounds, the deft scout slid his cesti into her lungs. With a wicked smirk he sucked the last breath from her deflating lungs. ”I serve Asmodeus and your death was my tribute.” Ironically ending her sardonic life.
