Qildar freezes in place when the breeze and howl come up. Once the eyes fade away, he looks over at Trutzburg to see if he saw the same thing. "What was that?" he asks, his voice trembling slightly.

Qildar nods in agreement, satisfied that there is one less threat in the room. He then turns his attention to the caskets. "Stay close," he says to the others as he prepares enter the room. He starts by checking the floor by the door for traps and then does the same for the first casket to his right (assuming no traps on the floor.)

Qildar looks concerned by both the spider webs and the caskets. "We better be careful here. Who knows where something will come out from. I hope those caskets are empty."

While still standing in the doorway, he scans the room for any indication there might be something in the caskets as well as in the webs.

"I can't tell what might be up there. Let's even our odds a bit," he says as he takes a torch from his pack and lights it. He then concentrates and says a few words and the torch slowly rises from his hand. Continuing to focus on the torch, he makes it rise up to the webs to light them on fire. Once they are lit, he brings the torch back down to the ground by the door. "Let's see if anyone is home," he says watching for movement and ready to attack with his long spear. Qildar raises an eyebrow at the sight of the key. "I wonder what that is to. Maybe a chest or the door I couldn't unlock earlier," he wonders out loud before moving to the north door, checking the floor first before checking the door for traps.

Qildar nods in agreement. "At least there's no spider. Do you want to continue uncovering that body or do you want to move on?" he says to Trutzburg.

"We should be careful moving through here. It's possible the rubble is from tripping a trap. That shaft would also be a good place for a spider."

Not wanting to confront a spider while solo in a confined area, he carefully searches the area next to Trutzburg and to the east towards the door for traps before moving to the door to search it.

Qildar shakes his head in disbelief. "I can't say either. There is either some passage near the ceiling that I can't see or it can open doors." He moves up to the door in the north wall, first checking if he hears anything behind it, then checking for traps.

What corner is coin purse in?

Convinced that the spider has to be hiding in some trap door like the one in the hall, Qildar searches every area for traps as he slowly moves over to inspect the purse and then the doors.

Not sure how many checks that will require so you can roll as needed at +9 for traps.

Qildar follows Nor'scrik and Sana into the hallway. He watches them start down the hall to the left. He is about to turn to search the other end of the hall when the floor drops out from under his companions and Sana disappears. "What the ... another trap. We need to be more careful in here," he thinks to himself as he moves up to the edge of the pit to see what happened to Sana.

Not sure if Nor'scrik's action re-opened the trap door or not. If it did, I'll cast Acid Splash at spider. If not, I'll ready it for when I can see it.

Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 3

He reminds the group what he knows about these types of spiders.

Special Attacks: Strength draining poison from bite attacks, and it has a web attack.

Not sure what to think yet of the new ratfolk, Qildar lets him take the lead, holding on to his longspear to be able to attack from a distance. He decides to hang towards the back of the group to see how effective he can be from that position.

Qildar nods in agreement at Nor'scrik's comment. "Yeah, we need to be more careful. These goblins seem a little more clever than the typical ones. First the construct and now undead? And this is the second trap to fall from the ceiling. I don't trust those things on the table so let's not get too close but I also don't want to leave them there if they are going to move. If everyone is ready, I can poke them from a distance to see if they will move," he says waiting for everyone to get into position.

Is the cage still in the middle of the room or did we find how to raise it out of the way. If it's still there, I'll move to the northwest corner. Once ready, I'll cast acid splash at each creature waiting for a minute for movement before moving on to the next.

Qildar starts to walk into the room to explain what he knows about the spider when the trap is sprung and the cage falls.

"What the ..."

Reacting quickly, he draws upon his new knowledge. Saying a few words, a ray of light flys from his hand towards the skeleton.

Disrupt Undead (touch attack): 1d20 + 4 - 4 - 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 - 4 - 4 = 5 Assuming cover and into combat.
Damage+sneak attack: 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (1) + (2) = 3 Assuming flat footed.

Casting a spell for the first time in combat, the ray sails over everyone's heads.

"Seemed so much easier at the training grounds," he says slightly embarrassed.

That was rather anti-climactic. So much for that surprise ability. :( Hopefully it will work better when I'm out in front and don't have penalties.

Working on leveling my character. I'll also buy the land and wand of CLW.

Antikas - you can pay 300 gp to buy the wand on the sheet with 20 charges or 750 gp to buy a new wand with 50 charges. In PFS, you can also use 2 prestige points (instead of your gold) to buy any item up to 750 gp in value. See the "Guide to Pathfinder Society Organized Play" for a list of what you can use prestige points for.

Seeing Hadgar get hit, Qildar hesitates, trying to figure out how he can best help. Looking around though, he realizes he needs to move to allow the group to finish the bugbear. He begins to move past Sana and Hadgar, trying to make it look like he is going to help the half-orc. Instead of bending down to help, he plants the butt of his longspear against the floor and wall of the central tower and tries to pole vault himself out of the reach of the bugbear.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13 I'm assuming that's a fail.

The longspear slips as he tries to vault and he finds himself trying to avoid a morningstar instead.
