DESCRIPTION:
Poh is tall and powerfully built just as most Shoanti are typically. His ruddy skin is marred by numerous crisscrossing scars along his arms and legs while his back, up to the lower right side of his face, is the angry red of long healed burns. His head is clean shaven and the rest of his face is buried under intricate tribal tattoos in crimson ink. Rugged leathers and hides make up his clothing while primitive appearing weapons hang from harnesses across his back and hips.
BACKGROUND:
Born and raised in the harsh environs of the Cinderlands does not allow for an easy childhood. This is especially true for the war-like Sklar-Quah tribe of the Shoanti who weed out their weak and cowardly through their numerous trials and challenges.
Before a child can be considered a warrior of the tribe, they must first outrun a wildfire on the open plains. Many do not live to succeed in this rite of passage. Poh was one who almost didn't. He survived but bore the marks of his weakness in the burns upon his back. He grew into a powerful warrior of the Sklar-Quah but was teased for only just surviving the Burn Run. He was shamed even further a few years ago when he, the last surviving member of a group of hunters, was rescued from a pack of cinder wolves by a party of Varisian adventurers. They healed his wounds but the shame of having tshamek, outsiders, save him drew the ridicule of his tribe once he returned.
When he could no longer bear the stares and whispers amoungst the yurts, Poh packed his few possessions and exiled himself from the Cinderlands until he had deeds and trophies that could bring honor to his name once again. He has been wondering the roads of Varisia for the last two years, looking for trouble and a challenge.
