Kyrademon's PBP has an excellent read-aloud version. I think it's slightly customized, but nothing that couldn't be tweaked back.

Last night my group finaly made it to end of Brinewall Legacy. I used the link above to write a French version of the Vision of Jade.

Thank's

If so would you accept to share it . . .

Thanks

I wrote one but I will need to re-work it. It has a lot of PC specific information in it as relates to my campaign. I'll try to condense it somewhat and share soon.

Ok Tanks!

I'm also going to need to rewrite it because we play in French. . .

Vecna Lives
Will some one explain to me what made this adventure so great? I recall being severely disappointed with it.

The reason I Liked it so much is that : At the time, i felt it was very inovative. It's not an adventure I would play today.

Adventure

Return to the Tomb of Horrors
Vecna Lives
The City of Skulls
Greyhawk Ruins
Hook Mountain Massacre
Labirynth of Madness

Mini Campaign

Night Below
Age of worms
Kingmaker

Hé hé
Thanks i'll show that to my friend.

I
A player in my campaing wrote a formula that tells you wen it's beneficial to make a power attack(to maximise your damage).
We thaught it was pretty funny to see the tings we do wen we miss a game or two so I decided to post it here.

The formula is writen in english but in my group were all French Canadian so the explanation were in French.
I did my best to translate them but if you dont understand tell me and I'll try to be more precise.

IF Target_AC < 21 + AB - PA_Penalty - Average_DMG/M - 5/2*(Nb_att -1)
THEN use power attack.

AB: attack bonus without power attack

PA_Penalty: The penalty from power att. (-1 fist level and -1 from every 4 level of Base att. Bonus) (if PA_Penalty = 4 means you take -4 on your attack)

Average_DMG = Average damage the guy make with this weapon (ex: d8+5 = 9,5 of Average_DMG)

M: The multiplier of the power attack (if two handed M =3, one handed M =2, if off-hand, M=1)

Nb_att: the # of attacks the pc get this round (excluding flurry of blows or haste)

Exemple:
Thestosthérosthène (fighter level 1) as +6 to hit for 1d8+6 DMG.
Following this rule if he wants to maximise his damage

Target_AC < 21+6-1- 10,5/3 - 0 = 22,5

That means that the Pc make a power attack on any foes that as an AC inferior to 22.

Is there a freak on this board who can prove him wrong?

. . . And don't tell me that a formula like this take the fun out of the game I already know that. Just dont take it to seriously it's not a philosophical debate.

Tkanks,

That's what we ruled last time.

In my last game we had an argument over channel energy.

I think that you need to be heard to make a channel energy but I dont find it anywere in the PFRPG.

Anybody knows if it's possible to make a Channel E. in a silence?

While I don't consider much of what Cage has done to be noteworthy, I have to give him the nod for Leaving Las Vegas. He was amazing in that movie. It's likely the best thing that he'll ever do in his life.

Before that he was very goog in Wild at Heart with Laura Dern and Willem Dafoe.

Hi.

Has anyone ever tried using Skype, Gizmo, or any other VoIP technology to play DnD?

I can see a few problems with it, but have worked out solutions to most. Can you identify better solutions, or maybe other problems that I did not catch.

* Rolling (solved by TRUST)
* Maps (solved by digital cameras and emailing before-hand)
* Battle Maps/Marching Order

The last is the most difficult.

I understand Wizards' Digital initiative seeks to solve this, but it's already late and the Di has been disappointing thus far. Is there another solution to Marching order than sweeping the webcam around the room to look at miniatures?

Thanks,
~LD

I do the same thing with my brother.

Do you know if it's possible to show the image of your webcam to more then 1 person?

I just started a campaign to play test Pathfinder.
Were playing in Sterich (Greyhawk) my pc's want to play some kind of againt the giant / Liberation of Geoff

1 Siege of the Spider Eaters
2 Rise of the Runelords
3 Home made
4 The Hook mountain Massacre
5 Fortress of the Stone Giants
6 Some area from Liberation of Geoff mixed with Istivin campaign arc
7 Home made
8 Spire of Xin Shalast

In my campaign the rune lords are ancient Suloise mage.

I would like something from Carl Sargent.
It's been a long time since he published anything.
I guess he's retired?

Although- I'd be interested to hear if there are spells that have seem especially powerful as well, I suppose. :)

Wraith strike

If you have a fighter/sorcerer with a two handed weapon and power attack, he can cast wraith strike as a swift(imediate?) action and maximise his power attack!

-"Shadow pearl": Perle d'Ombre

and that mad two-headed lich (now what is his name???)

Any ideas?

The two headed lich is Xaene. In 2nd ed. it was an 16 level mage with a neutral head and an evil head.

You can see it'S stats on page 81 of the book "Fate of Istus".

Take the stairs in the temple. The stairs go up to the third floor and wrap around to the door on the south side of the room (if North is up on that map). There's a lever there though that removes the section of floor to the left and right of the door.
Have you got a room reference?

Of course, this is not true, but the Player's bought it whole sale, because they WANT to hate him even more then they do already. The servant was Rowyn Kellani, disguised, messing with the PCs head at the time, hoping they might attack th Noble and get into trouble. Can't wait to see that play out.

Great I tink I'll use it in my campaign.

Anyone else not received the latest Dungeon yet?

Or is it just me?

Me too!

I contacted customer service earlier today and was told to wait until Monday (3/19) for delivery, and if I still hadn't received it then to contact them again for a replacement copy. I assume this goes for anyone else who's still waiting for #145.

I'm still waiting.

IT's my first year as a subscriber to Dungeon Mag. and it's the 3rd time I have to contact costumer service.

One guy in my groupe as an arcane trickster.

He plays with a mecanical Parrot that can record about 10 secondes of soud an repeat-it. Most of the time we ask him to turn it off after 10 minutes but it's always fun wen we start the session.

The way I see it, there is to many NPC's and not enaugh monsters.

The basic rule for 3.0 and 3.5 is that ALL fractions are rounded down in ALL cases unless otherwise specified in writing.
Where does it say that?

My brother is an officer in the Canadian Army. He plays D&D but he keeps a low profile. He told me that among the officer it's not well seen.

There are a lot of soldiers playing and he told me that he's trying to join one of there game. It's a bit silly but he as to keep it a secret from is boss !?!

Diplomay
No dices, just strategy.

I'm also a teacher and I started many D&D club as part of my extra corecular activities. I don't have any problem with the parents but i'm very careful with the demon/devil themes of my campaing.

*** If your wandering why a teacher is writing so badly it's because i'm not english. In a way it's another good point for D&D. I'm completely self thaught. I took the french/english dictionary wen I was 11 years old because I had to DM "the Glacial rift of the frost giant Jarl"

My group is called the "Hexagone".

I would not do anything. I guess you have more than 4 pc's in your party ?
If it's the case well I think it's OK if they are 1 or 2 level lower than it's recommanded in the AP.

Sorry but I don't know the title in English.

I always saw Conan as a more fantastic version of Taras Bulba.
I'm my mind it's a draw.

Same with me.
I received Dungeon 138 +/- 7 weeks ago.
