Studded leather in all likeliness never existed.

Any piece of leather armor I wear counts as studded.

Brean Desnus thinks we can hook some of those metal box-whatsits to our lutes and get a new kind of sound out of them. I think it's slightly mad, but after a few pints I've come around to his line of thinking.
