Hello everyone,
New to this BBorad, but not new to gaming. I have been gaming now for
over 32+ yrs, and a good 25+ of that I have run a home-groan campaign
of my own making. The first version was AD&D, then it went through 2.0
to 2.5 where it was for years. Although I made some upgrades to 3.0,
for the last couple of years I have not played it as a 3.5 D20 system
game. Thus I am starting to rework and rewrite the campaign, now I have
obtained alot of resource material, and my newer gaming libray has
many books for 3.5 version of the game. I have added alot of many
fantasy books from different systems as well to add all sorts of things
to my campaign and my setting.
Now I have also collected alot of hero's version 5 stuff and finding
myself greatly pleased with the Hero's system. Thus Fantasy Hero has
alot that makes it real appealing to convert my campaign to the Hero
system instead of the D20 system.
So I would like to hear from others pros and cons of doing this.
Currently much of my notes and etc, is using the 2.5 version stuff
and I feel I am at the cross roads. It looks like it would be the
same amount of work to migrate it to ver 3.5 D20 or to Fantasy Hero
system. I know them both as well, and so do my players too. I also
have a campaign in the Traveller game setting, and that has just come
out with the New erA 1248 and they are using Traveller Hero system
now as well. My thought is to rework both my fantasy, and Traveller
campaigns in using the Hero's system.
Thoughts?
