		About Pelagia the Paladin
Pelagia was a foundling at a Temple of Iomedae in Mendev. Though appearing mostly human, her hair is metallic and similar to gold, making it difficult to cut or trim (but it also grows incredibly slowly), so that helps. Raised at the temple, Pelagia grew up on the tales of Iomedae and the brave crusaders of the Mendevian Crusades. She tried to become a cleric, but, while her Charisma meant she had a lot of holy power, she was dangerously curious and not very wise, meaning she didn't do too well. Her strength, however, made her well-suited for the life of a paladin. Her fellow Paladins, however, found her to be naive and unable to sense motive well, which made her too trusting. Her holy power and strength caused her to break a priceless relic during a mission....which, combined with her innocent disposition, caused her to be sent away to Absalom. She was told she was being sent to train with the Pathfinder Society, but, in reality, the temple and Paladins just wanted her out of the way...and to keep her safe from the harsh reality of the Crusades.
Pelagia, despite being far from home, retains her cheerful attitude and love of helping others. However, there are some "triggers" that can make her serious. Orders from her superiors, questions about her parentage (who she never met), slurs against Iomedae, the hurting or killing of innocents, or the presence of evil outsiders are all things that make her angry. She's a little skittish at times, and has trouble focusing, but she means well and she is a rather competent paladin.
