Yeah, I can't find anything like that now. I started this guy years ago just after they started the core campaign, so I really don't remember where that came from. Maybe we just remembered wrong from the thing where you can all use found scrolls to expand your book. I don't know.

Wow, one of my friends is likely to be really ticked-off with himself. He retired his wizard at level 12 buying scrolls the whole way.

Ok, so I guess it isn't as big a deal for people who know the actual rules better than me, but an all wizard group would still be a bit cheaper on the spells by exchanging. Anyone interested anyway? Might still be fun.

Grand Lodge

Hmm... Well, I would say we said it was difficult, because I thought PFS said you had to buy a scroll for each spell. I just checked with a couple other guys and that was what they understood also.

Now I'm looking through the guide and not seeing anything like that, but I was sure I read it somewhere at some point.

Grand Lodge

I have a level 6 CORE wizard. Talking to a few other folks, it seems CORE wizards are having some trouble filling their spell books (other than just spending large sums buying the spells). So I was wondering about a CORE wizards only session.

We could fill the other rolls with someone going for Eldritch Knight, Theurge, and Arcane Trickster (or maybe just a familiar). That should give lots of spells for buffing and problem solving. Summoning creatures for more meat shields. Etc...

That would give all of us the opportunity to exchange a large number of spells with each other. Especially, if just before or after the mission, we each went to a market and purchased 1 or 2 spells not on anyone's list (coordinating for no overlap). Even more so if it is a scenario that has a few non-CORE scrolls or even a non-CORE spell book to be found.

What do you folks think? Any interest?

I can't think of anything Vie will want to do or purchase before we leave.

Well I sometimes lay down some snark at the venture captains, but I don't think I've ever actually smacked one. ... Yet.

Yeah, he is 6th level now. I thought I'd have another chance to play him this week. But all the F2F PFS games got cancelled due to the Covid-19 thing.
So I will get the avatar updated sometime today.

The avatar is now updated. I might still make a minor purchase after the briefing if possible. I'm getting to have a moderately extensive spell book. If anyone feels the need to know what is in it, let me know and I will get it typed out.

I don't believe Vie has had any interaction with Blakros Museum, Nigel, or Adril.

Although I really don't remember who the venture captain was for Shadow's Last Stand or You Only Die Twice. So it could have been Adril and I just don't remember it.

3. Marching Order - As a super squishy wizard, I usually want to be close to the end in position 5 or 6.
My pet is a cat familiar named Chuckles. If the group has no one to scout he can go in front to do some looking. But he doesn't have find traps or the ability to disable device. Stealthy as a dream though.
If we aren't needing a scout he normally lies draped across my shoulders.

4. Neither played nor GM'd. I can't even remember anyone talking about it.

Ok, unless I hear further info to the contrary, my cat will be celestial.

Like I said, not that big a deal. My familiar hasn't been used in combat and hasn't taken any attacks or damage yet. I have only used it for scouting if the group doesn't have any one at all sneaky.

Grand Lodge

But you have to go to the bestiary for the stats of all the basic familiars.

Grand Lodge

Herolabs says celestial familiars are not available to Core characters. I know Herolabs isn't infallible, but it is usually correct. So I want to check.

Improved Familiar is a feat in the Core Rulebook.
Right there in the wording of the feat, it says you can have a celestial template added onto any of the animals on the regular list.
I was going to take a celestial cat until I get to 7th level and can take a homonuculus.

It isn't that big a deal either way, just checking.

Vie is trying to make a copy of everything for the Society. While he is copying he is looking for any mention of the missing people in the documentation. Or really anything the city might find of interest. Also any info he can find on mites that have been sent out on other tasks or getting ready for the attacks.

Since we are, presumably, no longer threatened by these vile forces and are not pressed for time; I suggest we go over the entire property in detail looking for anything we might have missed. Let us also eliminate that metal snake so anyone checking out these ruins later is not injured by it.

I think we should take 20 everywhere to make sure we haven't missed any information they want. One the ground, we might be able to even find where the bodies have been interred (might be under the gardens). If we take 20, my perception is 31.

Break out the special gear! We have to get through that door!

Ok, this is getting serious folks. I am out of magics that can help even slightly. I have a flask of oil that we can throw on it and light. It is resistant to acid. Do any of you have the other element alchemical things to hit it with? It is healing itself by taking energy from us. That is a kinda undead-ish thing. So it might take damage from holy water or a cure spell. Though if not undead, the cure spell might heal it like normal. Other than that I can probably only use the "aid another" action to help the melee folks with attacks or defense. Any other ideas?
