Although there is little presence of half-orcs in the region, Ozmid matches the general description of those that do: Ozmid has particularly large jaws, very broad shoulders, and shockingly pale eyes. The half-orc keeps his head shaven whenever he can, despite the increased chance for sunburn. Ozmid wears well-used studded leather armor, and carries both a scimitar and a small steel shield.

Ozmid remembers almost nothing of his early life. Having spent his adolescence living on the streets of Katapesh, the half-orc child stood out more than the other street children, making stealing to eat far more difficult. Sometimes, Ozmid had to bully the other street children to get something to eat.
Yet, there were times when the local temple to Sarerae would often a place to sleep for night and an occasional meal. Because of the kindness shown to him, Ozmid thinks highly of the Sarerae faith and it's clerics. It is with his time listening to Sareraean sermons, that the young half-orc took up the scimitar as his primary weapon. Seeing the young half-orc reception to Sarerae's holy weapon, several clerics took the time to teach Ozmid the Sareraean way to wield a scimitar without killing. Although life on the streets of Katapesh making it difficult to follow all of Sarerae's teachings, Ozmid considers himself one of Sarenae's followers.
As the half-orc got older, Ozmid made his way from snatching fruit and bullying other children, to hiring himself out as a bodyguard, and occasionally being paid to beat up someone, who may or may not have deserved it. Ozmid never works for anyone who wants him to kill someone. Slowly, Ozmid acquired a reputation of reliable and fair, to all parties involved.
Growing up in Katapesh can be a lonely one, especially for a half-orc. Ozmid has a few friends, none of them close. Some believe since Katapesh's Sareraean acolytes are often half-orcs, this is why Ozmid is just a ferverent follower.
