Female Snow Elf Ranger 3

Odette scowls at the dogs as they growl at Pierson, but Orran shoos them away and she is mollified with his efforts.
She takes alook at the area and because of the time since the theft it takes her longer than normal to pick up the tracks. After nodding, she takes a closer look at the fur from the fence before turningt o the others.
"The tracks are small and there are many of them, so whoever took this was stealthy and worked in numbers to quickly break the barrier with what looks like crude weapons. It could be Halflings, Gnomes or Kobolds, but unlikely given that I also identified this," she holds up the fur, "as Worg fur. That means the most likely culprit is Goblins. I'm not familiar with this area, so does anyone know of any Goblin camps around here?"

Odette gives Orent a strange look at his question but replies simply, "if they do not attack him, then he will not harm them."
Once at the scene, she stops to take in the area first, then moves in to slowly search for any clues as to who may have done the deed and what direction they took.

Also take 20 (on Perception) in her search, paying special attention to looking for tracks. This gives her 26, or 28 if the area is ufficiently in the wilderness to count as Cold Terrain.

Odette perks up a little at Orent's words. "Tracking you say. I'd be saying that I am interested in such a job, especially given how much it is to be paying."
She quickly downs the last of her meal and stands, the Polar Bear cub at her side licking his bowl as he too gets to his feet. "Lead on," she says motioning to the door.

Odette looks at the Dwarf in surprise as he sits down. I have to get used to people wanting to talk to me, she thinks to herself.
"I... Orent right? I haven't seen any of the others come back here yet, although I was out looking around for a while so it's possible they returned while I was gone."
She does perk up a bit when she mentions the job. "A job would be most welcome, as I am almost out of the coin left behind by my father and still need to buy some supplies to take back home. What kind of job is it?"

Female Snow Elf Ranger 3

Sorry for my tardiness. Back and caught up and ready to get rolling again now. :)

Odette wanders around the town, taking in the sights and finding out if anything has changed since her last visit. Pierson tags along dutifully a pace behind her and garners his fair share of looks from passersby both frightened and curious.
After wandering until early afternoon, she makes her way back to the Inn to take lunch. Once more she orders simple stew, making sure that it has large chunks of meat for Pierson. She wonders if the others she met will be back. She was intrigued by the talks they were having about banding together to check out the flyer from the wall.

Your friend is a beauty. Does he mind pettin? Oh, and this is Variel, Gunnar, and I'm Sindri.

Again, Odette looks surprised that anyone would speak with her and it takes her a moment to react. She looks down at Pierson, playfully eating the stewed meat in between rolling under the table.

"As long as you make no moves against me he will happily allow you to pat him. Sometimes I wonder if he is not part dog. At least until I remember him ripping a wolf apart in battle after it and 3 others attacked us one evening on our way home."
A few seconds go by before she remembers herself and adds, "and I am Odette and he is Pierson in response to your introduction Sindri."

Yeah I'm not worried about the small talk but I agree it might be a good idea to fast forward a little once we're introduced.

Female Snow Elf Ranger 3

She looks up at the Dwarf, not expecting him to want conversation and not sure how to respond without seeming awkward.
"I have paid for two nights so far, although I do not aim to stay longer unless there is a way for me to make some money while here. I do not have a great need for it, but it is useful for purchasing supplies occasionaly."

Female Snow Elf Ranger 3

Odette takes the key from the Halfling woman and pays her the money, also inquiring as to food for her stay. While open, she examines the contents of her coin purse with a frown, thinking that she may have to find some way to make money while here as the last of her father's savings was not going to get her far.
She orders two bowls of stewed meat, one for her and one for Pierson, and turns to survey the room before her, looking for a spare seat with room for the Polar Bear curled at her feet to stretch out. Spying a spare seat opposite Orent with enough space next to it to comfortably accomodate Pierson, she moves over and sits down, asking a little too gruffly if it was alright for them to join him while they ate.

hmmm... Just realized I forgot Hit Points. :/

So...
Odette:
Level 2 Ranger: 1d10 ⇒ 6
Level 3 Ranger: 1d10 ⇒ 10

Pierson:
2nd Hit Die 1d8 ⇒ 7
3rd Hit Die 1d8 ⇒ 4

Odette enters the tavern, a huge silvery axe strapped to her back and a scowl on her face after being informed this is the only place in town to find accomodation. A Polar Bear cub follows at her heels, sniffing the air as he goes and stopping with her to survey the tavern floor. The scowl deepens when she spies the eleven foot form of the building's namesake.
She stalks up to the bar and asks for a room for two nights, wanting to at least see what the trading post has to offer before she takes her leave back to her cave.

OK, here is my Character. I've finished her, I just have to get her info copied up and into her Profile. :)
